Staying at Harbor View feels like the best of both worlds: a cozy, woodsy-cabin retreat with modern comforts, while also putting you right where all the lakefront charm, outdoor adventure, and small-town Wisconsin hospitality converge. You wake up, maybe walk to the lake, enjoy a day of swimming or hiking or browsing local shops, come back to fire up a grill or relax on the deck — all without needing to drive far.
What makes our property truly unique is its blend of location, history, and the classic lake-cabin feeling that has become increasingly rare around Geneva Lake. Our family has owned and cared for this property since 1970, and over the decades we’ve welcomed multiple generations of returning guests who now think of this place as their “home away from home.” That sense of familiarity, warmth, and tradition is something you simply don’t find everywhere.
The property sits just 1,500 feet from the Geneva Lakefront, yet it still offers the peaceful character of a quiet neighborhood—close to the beach, marina, parks, restaurants, and the iconic lake path. Very few properties today remain this close to the lake while still preserving the original charm of the area: the cozy cabin feel, the woods, the sense of old-time lake living, and the slower pace that makes vacations memorable.
We also take pride in running this as a family business, not a corporate rental. Guests appreciate the personal touch, the long-standing relationships we’ve built, and the knowledge that they’re staying somewhere that has been loved and cared for over 50 years. It’s modest and dated, but priced right for those attributes. Picture old school motel w cabin like facade. It’s a really nice property w a large yard. Great for traveling w dogs. Homey and apartment like feel w a perfectly adequate kitchen space. The host is very kind and communicates so well. Even happily accommodated my request to grant my parents early access when they beat me there and were arriving earlier than check in time. The location is great. I’d stay here again and recommend to others!
