About this apartment rental

Our home is a lovely 2 bedrooms apartment in the 16th district of Paris, in the heart of Exelmans neighbourhood, near all amenities. Situated at the second floor of a secure, luxury building with elevator and air conditioning system.
80m2 with entrance, lounge and dining room, separate kitchen fully fitted, two large bedrooms, one bathroom with a bathtub and one separate toilet room.
New, quality bedding. Perfect for 4 people (queen size bed in each bedroom). The bathroom has a bathtub (with handholds) and a sink, you can also take showers. It is also all equipped with fresh towels, a hairdryer, an electric tooth brush, heated towel rails, shampoo and shower gel.
Washing machine, dryer. Wi-Fi, wide screen television in the living room, big screen television in one bedroom, toaster, microwave, oven, and all the cooking and dining kitchenware.
The living room is very nice, perfect to relax after a day visiting Paris.
The Eiffel Tower is just 20min by walk along the Seine banks. Le Bois de Boulogne is 10 min away, perfect for a morning run or a romantic boat ride on the lake.
Our street is quiet, you'll find in the neighborhood delicious bakeries. There is a very popular market on the avenue, a real delight for your tastebuds!

We spent a week at Jacques apartment in Paris and it was wonderful! It had everything we needed and had a very Paris feel, without being in one of the more crowded areas. The bus and trains were both within short walking distances and easy to use. We also had a car since there is parking available if you make arrangements with Jacques ahead of time. Driving in Paris is an experience, and not one I'd recommend, but it was nice to go to Versailles (the palace is a must-see) and also to Normandy. Michele was the neighbor/property-manager that helped us check-in and even saved us when we locked ourselves out. There were a few days with some building repairs going on that kept our teens from sleeping in, but not a big deal and certainly just part of living in a large city. Would we stay here again, absolutely!! Thank you, Jacques! Paris made a lasting impression on us and we hope to be back sometime!

Great apartment in the lower 16th. Was a little concerned being so far away from the center of Paris, but getting to the center was so easy. Metro at Porte Saint-Cloud is just a few minute walk way. Also on Rue De Versailles (the next street over), there is a wonderful market on Tuesday and Sunday. The kitchen is well equipped and everything in the apartment worked perfectly.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was all we could have wished for--clean, spacious, and well-appointed. We loved the market at the end of the street and walked everywhere. Metro was also close. Jacques was wonderful to communicate with before and during our stay.

Our apartment was located in, I believe the 15 Arrondissement of Paris. It was located in a perfect area for us. Getting into the building was like Fort Knox which is what we wanted. It was within walking distance to the Farmers Market, grocery stores, pharmacies, McDonalds (LOL) and the Seine River. You can walk everywhere. The apartment’s only “concern” was the sofa was a bit hard on the back as well as the chairs in the living and dining rooms. The beds were very comfy and everything was just as it was to be. Only concern was a problem with the WiFi for the first 1-2 days but Michelle and Jacque had it handled after it was realized it was not operational. Jacque has a book that examines everything about the apartment and your questions could be found in there. We plan on returning to purchase a property in Paris and when we do, we’ll most definitely seek our home away from from with Jacque!!!

Our vacation in Paris was wonderful. We had a good time in the apartment and in the city. The apartment is nice, clean and comfortable. Everything works well. The bus stop is only a few meters from the apartment, so it’s easy to get to all sights. The quarter around the apartment is also nice to explore. Supermarkets, restaurants and bars are just in the same street or around the corner.

If I could rate higher than excellent, I would. The property owner was helpful, kind and we communicated often. He was a dream to rent from. The apartment was spotless and was nice than the photos. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was excellent, with markets 3 times a week just a block away. Metro was close and easy to use. Restaurant on the corner, La Cantina, was very good as well. We had such a great experience with this rental, we will definitely be back!

We made the booking just days before going and Jacques was very easy to work with. He and Danielle met us at the apartment to explain everything to us.. The apartment was spotlessly clean, the kitchen very well equiped., the bed comfortable and the shower excellent. The underground parking was great, we just left the car there and caught the bus everywhere. Lovely market right outside 3 times a week, and lots of small suprmarkets, Large Carrefour in walking distance. All in all a great apartment.

We loved our beautifully appointed apartment located in a majestic building with excellent security. We were on a quiet street very conveniently located near buses, metro and outdoor market twice a week. The apartment had high tech appliances in a modern kitchen and our bathroom was also updated. Bedrooms were lovely and very comfortable. We had air-conditioning and electric heat. We would definitely book this apartment again if we visit Paris in the future.

Pros - Owner was very prompt and helpful with his responses. Apartment is great - spacious, clean and well-equipped. Location is excellent in regards to metro and bus. Having two air-conditioned bedrooms was great. Cons - A few minor things. Would have liked detailed instructions in English on how to operate the appliances but we figured it out so not a big deal. Air-conditioner in one bedroom was really loud but that's how it is when it's not centralized air-conditioning. We were just happy there was AC. Overall deserves a 5 star rating.

The place is spacious, very well kept, and safe. The two bedrooms have lots of closet space, the beds very comfortable. The lighting in all the rooms is very good and there is no lack of electrical outlets. The kitchen is superior: lots of crockery, glasses, cutlery. A washing machine and a drier, a dish washing machine, coffee maker, toaster and more. Previous occupants leave stuff so, on arriving one doesn't have to stock up on everything. If you finish the coffee get another one. A couple of minutes away there is a supermarket and 2 boulangeries (I recommend the baguette céréale). And best of all, the open air market on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Sample the cheeses, the fish, the fruit and vegetables. There are 2 metro stations 5 minutes away and buses pass in front of the house. A real home away from home.

Voici vraiment un bel endroit près de toutes les commodités pour un séjour à Paris. L’accès divers moyen de transport en commun (bus, métro, RER) est superbe. À notre que chacune des deux chambres est grande et offre un lit «queen» ce qui est assez rare en Europe. Il y a tout dans la cuisine et le salon est très confortable. Et le wifi est impeccable. Finalement l’accueil est vraiment sympathique / this apartment has everything one would need for a stay in Paris. Access to public transportation is just great (bus, metro, RER), amenities everywhere(bakeries, grocery store, public market, even a hardware store). The apartment is so comfortable and the bedrooms even have queen size beds - pretty rare in Europe. The kitchen has everything one could need and the living room is very comfortable. Note that the WiFi is very good. Finally, the persons welcoming you are very sympathetic and helpful. Highly recommended!!

Chez Jacques, If you would like a modern and nicely appointed apartment including all the necessary appliances for a stress free stay in Paris, this is the place for you. This apartment Includes an underground parking spot for those who decide to risk driving in Paris. We will be back. Ideal for a long stay and really handy to get around to most of the tourist sights within 15 to 20 minutes. Metro nearby and buses outside the front door, couldn't be more convenient. Jacques is very diligent to always reply to enquiries immediately and he ensures that the home is well cared for by the people who look after it. This is a place I would love to stay on a longer term basis if I needed to be in Paris for a while, which I hope to do sometime soon. I sincerely recommend Jacques' home for discerning people. Enjoy Paris!

Loved the apartment. Very secure and quiet. Walking distance to shops, Metro, and bus. Washer and dryer meant we didn’t have to pack as much, so had more room for souvenirs. My 7 year old granddaughter started calling it ‘home’ and it felt like it by the end of our stay. She loved the space and the French cartoons on tv. It was very hot during our stay and the air conditioned bedrooms were a lifesaver. Claude, the private driver Jacques arranged to pick us up was great and he returned us to the airport safe and sound. Highly recommend pickup by private driver. Works out about the same cost wise. I can highly recommend staying here. It is off the beaten path a bit but the amenities are worth it.

My sister and I had a wonderful time in Paris and enjoyed coming “home” to Jacques’ apartment. It is close to an amazing fresh market on certain days. It is an easy walk to metros and the RER to Versailles. WiFi worked great. Michele met us and was very helpful and kind. Spacious rooms were appreciated and enjoyed. Thanks for a great stay :)

The place was excellent -- newly redone, with new appliances, new shower, etc. Very comfortable. Also, the toilet and shower areas are separate, which was very convenient. Almost like having two bathrooms. Lots of extra goodies about such as coffee, olive oil, mustard, etc., which was very helpful, and a nuisance to have to buy. Jacques and his representatives were available and helpful. He also had a really nice guy, Claude, available for pickup at the airport. BTW, my girlfriend left her cell phone in Claude's car on way to the airport, and both Jacques and Claude went way above the call of duty to get it back to her! Just overall a very pleasant experience, and we will for sure book this place again when we return to Paris. Mike

Very clean, modern two bedroom apt with nice amenities and appliances. New kitchen, shower and bathroom and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Building was very secure. Owner was great in responding to a couple of questions/small issues and left a very helpful guide to Paris and the area. We cooked without any issues, big fridge, new pots and pans... Terrific area, 2-5 min walk to bakeries, good restaurants, bus and metro stops, market right around the corner twice a week. Would stay here again for sure. 40 min walk to the Eiffel Tower down the river bank walkway, very scenic.

This was a very clean and comfortable apartment! Thick windows to block noise and good beds , we all slept soundly. Well equipt kitchen which we added grocery's from the lovely local stores that are really close by. The market was the best food and very helpful with are very little French. Rotisserie chicken is the best. Local boulangerie right on Ave de Versailles one block across the street, best croissants .I recommend you eat them daily and the fresh orange juice! Bus stop is two doors down and gets you to all the main sites , drops you back across the street. Never got lost getting back. You can always get back to the seine and bus #72. Bus and metro do get crowded and hot.Best people watching on the bus. Taking the bus from a less touristy area we had the best conversation with a beautiful 3 yr old French girl on her way to daycare.That was a personal highlight not to be forgotten. Five stars and highly recommend the area. Can't wait until our next visit! Thank you

The property was in a quiet neighborhood. Building and area very secure. Home is neat, with all the basic necessities available. Homeowner provided detailed suggestions on using public transportation, area eateries, sightseeing locations and tips for seeing Paris. I have used HomeAway to find vacation properties for over 10 years. Rarely do I bother to write a review. However, this property was one of the better ones we have stayed in. For starters, Jacques Duban was great to deal with. Although he was out of town when we got there, the woman who cleans his apartment was there to greet us. Altough we speak viturally no French and she spoke little English, she did a great job showing us the necessary information to work the appliances, etc. in the apartment. The apartment was very clean and everything was in working order. We arrived in mid-July, with the temperatures hitting the mid-90's. Fortunately, there are A/C units in each of the bedrooms, which cooled off the rooms quickly. In addition, the windows have motorized metal shutters which block the sun during the day and the lights and noises at night. The location couldn't be better. You are away from the crowds of tourists near the well known sites. However, you are within a quick walking distance of 2 Metro stations (less than 5 for one and 10 minutes for the other) and the bus stop for 3 different lines is literally 3 doors down the street. There is a street market 3 days a week, which allows you to shop for fresh fruit & vegetables, meats, fish, clothing, gifts for friends (much better and cheaper than the gift shops at all the tourist locations). In addition, there are several local restaurants within a quick walk that allow you to have the true Parisian dining experience - sitting at an outdoor cafe, enjoying the weather, a glass of wine and the ambiance of this great city.
