Lobos Lodge

Originally assigned and checked in to room 31... it was a King bed with a patio but no view other than the cement walls around the patio, and it sort of felt like a basement room. We slept there one night then asked if something else was available and to our delight we were offered room 43, with two queen beds and a balcony on Ocean Avenue - excellent! Some may not like the sound of cars driving by etc, but we like it and it didn't go late into the night. I think downtown shuts down early. Nice offering of pastries, fresh fruit, snacks and coffee every morning.

We stayed 4 nights and don't usually request housekeeping but on the 3rd day we needed new towels, toilet paper, etc. So we put the 'please service' tag on the door but came in from a day out to find no services had been done. I asked the next morning and was told our length of stay didn't qualify for freshening up. Not a huge problem as I requested fresh towels from the front desk with no problem... just fyi if you like daily service.

Couldn’t be happier with Lobos Lodge location, walkable to the beach, shops and restaurants! An amazing front desk staff!

Room was cozy and super clean, we had a fabulous view from our balcony!!!

The location is amazing, short walk to the Carmel Beach and right in town, it was so good, the venue was lovely, plenty of room, super comfortable beds and lovely staff. Nice touch that they provide fruit, gourmet cookies and great coffee & tea from the office every day. We loved our stay and would highly recommend!!

Location - one block from the beach

Essentially an overpriced motel that is dated - their website photos must be from 10+ years ago. Big windows are sealed shut and bathroom window would not stay open, a bathroom light did not work, sink drain rusty and sink stained.
