The property is up on a hill with good views and very close to Badolato. It is one of our favorite villages and we had a treat with the Easter celebrations. It was a good base to explore the area. We felt welcomed.

My wife and I and her sister and husband traveled from Rome to Pompeii to Matera to Otsuni and to this cottage in Badolato all on a two week trip. All were two bedroom and two bath with kitchen VRBO rentals and this was our favorite. Very quite and peaceful on the mountain side just east of Badolato with amazing views of the mountains and ocean. There are trails through the olive groves, roads leading to interesting ruins, a vacant Convent next door, and gorgeous views. Very peaceful. Fabrizio left us a bottle of his great homemade wine. We explored the ancient villages of Badolato and Davoli. We enjoyed the nearby seashores. We spent one day just relaxing at the cottage, cooking our own meals, and taking an occasional hike. The views from the massive upstairs balcony were amazing. This is our third Italy trip and we have enjoyed staying at several Agritourismo lodgings and in small village rentals and this is our favorite.
