Traditional Canarian house with private pool in Vegas Valsequillo

The house and the outdoor surroundings is lovely. There is air conditioning in all the bedrooms, if that’s your preference. There is often a breeze, so the house stays at a comfortable temperature when the windows and doors are open. If it feels a bit warm, you can jump into the pool. We were there in July and didn't need it heated at all. It was fantastic.We did quite a bit of cooking ourselves and would have liked an extra bowl, perhaps, but all in all, we had what we needed. Everything was very clean.The house is located in a small town up on the mountain. The view of the mountains is breathtaking. It is very quiet and peaceful. The best restaurant (La Culata ll) is right across the road.There are supermarkets in the neighboring towns—one is a 10-minute drive away, and a large supermarket is 20 minutes away. We are a family of four—two adults and two children aged 12 and 16. We stayed for 14 days and drove all around the island. We drove to the beaches, but also explored everything else Gran Canaria has to offer. If you are looking for something more than just a beach holiday, we can highly recommend this location; it is centrally situated for everything.It was very easy to communicate with the hostess, Elena, via WhatsApp.The only slightly annoying thing was the family of pigeons that had built a nest in the beautiful palm tree in the courtyard. They are messy creatures.So, there wasn't much to complain about. We’ve had an absolutely fantastic holiday.

Nice house with lots of space located about half way between the coast and the high mountains.

We had a fantastic time in this fabulous villa. It’s quiet, secluded and had everything we needed… including the wonderful heated pool. Lovely family owners who made us very welcome. We’d love to return one day!

We booked this 14 months ago & looking at the pictures it looks lovely. The fabric of the building was great, but it hasn’t been maintained properly, it’s grubby & needs a lot of TLC. Do not be fooled by the wheelchair accessible tag - it definitely isn’t, with steps into the property & none of the doorways to the bedrooms are wide enough for a wheelchair. The kitchen is very underwhelming, with a distinct lack of useful utensils - definitely take your own sharp knives or pop to ikea to get one on your way. We were so disappointed that we moved to a different property as soon as we could find one (not easy for 4 adults (one disabled) & 2 children in the Easter Holidays). The young lady who deals with the house was very good and refunded us the remaining days, but the mother - who only speaks Spanish & is the person who shows you round the property when you arrive, was very hostile when we left. Pool is great - but you need to pay to have it heated in the winter months. So - could be lovely but if your looking for a spotless up to date villa, this won’t be for you.
