About this house rental

General:
Located at 12 minutes from Faro airport, the sea, restaurants, the large Mar shopping center (6 min. also known as IKEA), on a hill surrounded by nature, quiet, with 1 large private shaded terrace, ocean view, ideal for 4 people, fully equipped, this house will delight nature and calm lovers. On the about 1 hectare plot (±3 acres), are built 2 houses, the owners ‘one and the house for rent. Both houses, surrounded by the vegetation, are about 25 meters apart.
There is a private access with a dedicated gate. There is a shaded parking nearby the house, on the same level, making it easy for people who have difficulties to walk.
In addition to the 180cm fence that borders the entire grounds, a small fence 100cm high delimits about 200m2 in front of the house. Convenient to delimit a wandering perimeter restricted to pets.
A pétanque court with balls is available free of charge. If you don't know how to play, we can teach you and even play with you.
Heated pool :
The pool is covered with a rolling shelter for safety for children, to stabilize the temperature as well as to avoid leaves and needles from trees.
A heat pump keeps the pool between 30°C and 33°C
As shown in the last photo (Google earth simulation), the pool is built between our own house (at the top of the photo) and the small house for rent (at the bottom of the photo).
Holidaymakers enjoy the pool to themselves as we refrain from using it when they use it.
The house consists of:
- 2 air-conditioned bedrooms with 1 large bed of 150cm
- 2 bathrooms (2 showers)
- 1 air-conditioned main living room, with a fully equipped American kitchen
Supplies and accessories:
- The doors and windows are double-glazed tilt-and-turn with mosquito nets and blackout curtains.
- Dishes, kitchen utensils, coffee makers (3 including Nespresso)
- Free 80-100Mb/s WiFi, TV-SAT (Portuguese and Spanish channels, French TNT + free foreign channels), washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, combined fridge-freezer.
- Sheets, towels, beach towels are provided
- Supply of baby equipment available on request (see photo to have an idea).
Minimum stay is 7 nights (45 nights between October and March)

Extremely easy quick access to Faro airport, v handy if you've travelled far already. Property is simple but has far more than most - a brilliantly kitted out kitchen, so Kuch spare bed linen, towels etc. super generous hosts, the kindest people who were there in an instant when we needed help but also very respectful of privacy. We learnt to play petanque with Jean-Noel and the children adored the garden which is vast and varied. The swimming pool is gorgeous even on chilly days, heated to 32 degress which was perfect for helping little children learn and gain confidence. We would return in a heartbeat and already miss our many lovely interactions with the hosts. A great place to explore the Algarve. 4/5 stars for price because the whole of the Algarve is expensive. This was actually a fair price for what we had a red and could get in school hols. Huge thanks.

Accommodation was compact, cosy and functional and provided all the necessary mod cons. It is located in a rural setting and yet close to all amenities with a rustic greenfield outlook. It benefits from a newly installed air con/heating system which was very effective when we needed it. The property has two small shower rooms although only one toilet which malfunctioned during our stay but was replaced by our host in less than 24 hours. The bedroom configuration is slighty different to the advertised photos with a double bed only in each room. The hosts Jean Noel and Michelle were very welcoming and always nearby to answer any queries. The pool is heated but at 32/33C was just too warm for us and sadly we made little use of it. The positioning in front of the hosts' own accomodation is something to consider in terms of privacy but it is very well maintained and easily accessible

We just returned from a perfect 16 day stay at this VRBO. Our stay at Casa Fado was wonderful!! The accommodations were clean and the facilities were well equipped. The kitchen had everything you would need to make complete homemade meals. There were bath towels, hand towels, facecloths and beach towels. Extra blankets and pillows were also provided. A new heating system has recently been installed which kept the house warm when the evenings were cooler.The pool was available whenever we wanted and it was very clean and kept at a comfortably warm temperature. A mention of wanting to swim to Jean-Noel and the cover was removed and ready for our swimming pleasure. There are also chairs and lounges around the pool. Excellent!The home is located where you would require a car. It is in an excellent spot if you want to be in the country with privacy. The house is overlooking the hills. A perfect spot!! The patio provides a lovely location to enjoy a morning coffee or tea with the sounds of singing birds. Exquisite! Parking is right at your door. A short drive to the ocean.We cannot say enough about the hospitality of Michele and Jean-Noel!! They were very inviting and met us, sharing all we needed to know about their VRBO upon arrival. They were very prompt responding to any questions we had. However, not at all intrusive. Full of information and a delightful couple. A holiday location full of marvellous memories!
