About this house rental
Beautiful, luxuriously appointed, south facing 18th century house with large private heated pool (Heated May-Sept)and full size Pétanque court. 5 large bedrooms plus 1 downstairs bedroom and a further 2nd floor mezzanine with double bed + single, sleeps 15/16.
4 bathrooms/shower rooms (2 en-suite). Downstairs WC.
Huge 50m2 reception room with comfortable sofas/chairs Big 36m2 TV room with woodburner. 50'' flat screen tv and surround sound system.

Extremely well appointed kitchen with 2 full size ovens and separate 5 burner hob, dishwasher, fridgefreezer and large stainless steel topped workstation. Adjoining dining room with fireplace, and woodburner. Utility room with washing machine. Ground floor cloakroom. The gardens and heated pool areas to the front are fully enclosed, private and south facing. There is plenty of space for sun bathing and a choice of areas for alfresco dining, including a lovely covered shady area with it's own seating and fireplace.

Brilliant location to explore cognac and a great place to stay. Host is super helpful and conscientious.
House is amazing and well maintained and equipped. Pool is great and other activities help keep the kids entertained!
Great time was had by all and son is already planning a trip back.

We had a great holiday for our 50th wedding anniversary, with all the family. The pool was in constant use by all and the veranda was a lovely place to sit during the hotter part of the day. The garden was well looked after and a great place for family games. We had a few problems during our stay but they were quickly dealt with by Robert. I would happily visit again.

Our stay at Robert’s house far exceeded our expectations. The house is truly beautiful and it was well equipped for our large party. The pool area was a welcome relief from the heat and the shaded area meant we could use it even at the hottest part of the day. There are many beautiful towns around but the house was so nice we found it hard to leave! Robert was a pleasure to deal with and he made a point of not being intrusive but was always available if we needed him. I would have no hesitation recommending this home and hope to visit again soon.

We have spent a wonderful week in this beautiful stately house. We were a group of eight persons (a family with two children, a couple and two friends).
In reality, the house is even better than in the pictures. It is large and spacious. I really liked the quality of the beds. The kitchen is nice and large, and it is extraordinarily well equipped. As a result, we prepared more meals ourselves than previously planned.
The pool is very nice. It is in a secluded part of the garden, separated by a gate, allowing younger children to wander around the garden safely.
We loved sitting in the shaded sitting area by the pool, which is a lovely place to spend the afternoons (and mornings and evenings for that matter).
Robert is a pleasant host, who reacted promptly to our messages.
All in all, this is a holiday we will not soon forget and a place I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone.
