About this apartment rental
Lone Star Retreat # 1 is a cozy studio apartment with a 60' deck overlooking Lake Junaluska. PET FRIENDLY, private firepit w/ deck seating, free access to pool, tennis, FAST WiFi. Located on the south side of the lake where its peaceful & quiet. Apt is complete with amenities for a long weekend or an extended stay. 10 min to restaurants, shops & grocery stores. Four golf courses 5-15 min. See our other properties if we're booked for your dates!
Cozy 400 sq ft eco-friendly studio apartment (combo den, bedroom & kitchen in one open space) located on the lower level of our home. Private entrance off the spacious 60' deck with breathtaking views of the lake & mountains. We're nestled in a gorgeous wooded area with a tree-house feel! We live in the upper level of the house but always give our guests complete privacy! Must be able to navigate short flights of stairs down to apartment from parking area (as shown in photos, 25 steps total). Walk to the lake (includes some hills) in 5-10 minutes.

Paddle boards, canoes, kayaks & tennis racquets may be rented at Lake Junaluska Rec hut. Water sport amenities available Memorial Day - Labor Day.
We live year-round upstairs on the first level of the house and are available by phone 24-7. We give our guests complete privacy, but are available to help with recommendations and/or directions if you need us!

PET POLICY:
- 2 pet limit per reservation - 70 pound weight limit per dog
- $75 non-refundable pet fee
- Rentals exceeding 13 nights, the pet fee is assessed per dog
- Dogs MUST be fully housebroken
- Declawed cats welcome
CLEANING FEE:
-Cleaning Fee $75. For stays of 21 nts or more, a mid-stay cleaning required
- Minimum age for renters is 25
- 100% Non-Smoking property inside and outside
- Not handicap accessible. Appx 25 steps down to apartment
- Unit is in lower level of home. Owners live year around upstairs

It was too many steps but like I said he was handicapped and he couldn't be going up and down but it was nice clean and the little it all good we loved it thank you

Great location with relaxing deck. Nice walk to the lake. Very friendly hosts for this cozy spot with short drive to Waynesville. Easy check in and thoughtful touches for an easy stay.

A lovely spot. A little hard to get up to but worth the seclusion. Host was very detailed on rules, expectations, and operation of all amenities.

Lovely stay at the Lone star! Clean and cozy, overlooking gorgeous Lake Junaluska. We enjoyed daily strolls around the lake with our fur baby, and loved the convenience of being close by to Waynesville and Maggie Valley.
