About this house rental
The Villa '' Mezza Luna '' (the name comes from her half-moon shape)
is located 40 meters above the Granitsteinkueste Joppolo. It is embedded in an olive garden with vines and fig trees, persimmon and soon oranges and a pomegranate tree.
Certainly you will find here a quiet place to relax. The day with the sun start early in the morning = You have the option on the 'Sunrise Terrace' extensively to have breakfast and start the day comfortably. In the evening, to enjoy the 'Sunset Terrace' the APERITIVO and your romantic dinner by candlelight overlooking the sea. From here you have a beautiful view of the Strait of Messina / Sicily and the Aeolian Islands even during the day.
Pure nature and recharge your batteries, let your soul, all that and much more you can experience here ........ Welcome.
Olive harvest:
If you are interested in the olive harvest ... please book their holiday in late October early November. If you help me get busy olive oil as compensation of sweaty work. You will see it is beautiful, this experience ever, to be allowed to share with me ..... Expect them with an open heart.

Wir waren als Familie mit zwei Kindern (9 und 6 Jahre alt) für eine Woche im August im Haus Mezza Luna. Liebe Anita vielen lieben Danke für diese Erfahrung. Es wahr Liebe auf den ersten Blick. Ein Architektenhaus mit Blick auf den Stomboli und den Etna. Aus jedem Zimmer Blick auf das Meer. Die beiden Duschen haben sich wie Außenduschen angefühlt und die Terasse war Mittelpunkt des Hauses und jeden Abends. Noch nie haben wir so viele reife und leckere Feigen essen können. Wir haben Ausflüge nach Tropea, Scilla, Santa Maria und Phagelia gemacht. Es war eine eindrucksvolle Woche mit viel Schnorcheln und unvergesslichen Sonnenuntergängen an karibischen Stränden.
Wir hatte unsere Mosquitonetze dabei um in diesen Breitengraden ruhig zu schlafen und die Eisenbahn, die rund fünf mal in 24 Stunden vorbei fuhr hat uns nicht gestört.

Im Vorfeld verlief jeglicher Kontakt vollkommen problemlos. Wir durften eher kommen (und dafür auch später gehen). Anita war sehr zuvorkommend und hat alle aufkommenden Fragen geklärt.
Wir wurden an der Bar im Dorf in Empfang genommen und zum Haus geleitet. Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig war, dass alle Zimmer einzeln auf die umlaufende Terrasse münden. So geht dann auch nachts der Weg zur Toilette immer durch's Freie und dann erst in's Bad. War aber sehr schön, bei warmen Temperaturen etwas Abkühlung bei Mondesschein zu bekommen.
Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig auch, dass man das Haus (besser gesagt die einzelnen Zimmer) nicht komplett abschließen kann. Allerdings haben wir uns immer sicher gefühlt, und bei Abwesenheit die Wertsachen in einem der abschließbaren Schlafzimmer aufbewahrt. Zusätzlich ist ja das Tor zum Grundstück verschlossen. Auch wenn Anita meinte, das müsste man überhaupt nicht abschließen: wir hatten es dennoch gemacht. Typisch deutsch halt...
Der Garten voller Feigen un Wein war ein Genuss - optisch wie auch kulinarisch, da wir uns frei bedienen durften.
Der abendliche Blick auf den Stromboli mit Sonnenuntergang direkt neben dem Vulkan: unbezahlbar.
Das Haus hat alles, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht, uns ist nichts eingefallen, was fehlen würde.
Vielen Dank liebe Anita für die Zeit, die wir auch mit Dir verbringen durften, es war ganz toll! Das Olivenöl aus dem eigenen Garten wartet noch auf die Verköstigung, da freuen wir uns schon darauf.
Alles in allem durchaus zu empfehlen, auch wenn es im Hochsommer wahrscheinlich ziemlich heiß werden kann. Aber da wir eher im Spätsommer da waren, war die Temperatur kein Problem - im Gegensatz zu den Mücken! Hier muss unbedingt an entsprechende Repellents gedacht werden, sonst wird man gnadenlos attackiert.
Ein Auto ist allerdings ein Muss, da das Haus schon etwas abgelegen (dafür aber ruhig) liegt, auch wenn die Bahnlinie direkt vorbei führt. Zum (Kies-)Strand ist es nicht weit - dort finden sich auch einige Restaurants und Bars, aber ins Dorf (bergauf) ist es schon etwas mühsamer. Dennoch kann man man diese Wege auch gut zu Fuß machen, wenn man halbwegs fit ist.
Also: nicht länger zögern sondern buchen!

maison originale, spacieuse, bien équipée et très agréable avec vue sur l'Etna et le Stromboli, super accueil d'Anita, baignade en 5mn à pieds, aucune critique négative.
