Villa Charme id 2116 Luxury Villa with Beautiful Lake view, panoramic Pool, A/C

This must be the most beautiful place on earth! Pictures do not do it justice. Our combined family of 10 couldn’t be happier with our choice to stay at Il Poggio. So comfortable, clean, breathtaking vista. Francesca was a delight to meet and work with.

This property is amazing. Spectacular views of the lake. Gorgeous gorgeous grounds. Each room has its own kitchenette and living room. Francesca is lovely. 20 minute walk to downtown. We absolutely loved it and highly recommend!

Great property in a Beautiful location

We just returned from a week at this beautiful property in Bellagio. I cannot begin to describe how relaxing and lovely the entire experience was - how kind and responsive our hosts were, how the beauty and serenity of the home was only barely surpassed by the breathtaking beauty that surrounds you in Lago di Como. We rented the entire villa for our family of 16 who is spread out over several countries, and all of the cousins and siblings had plenty of time to reconnect. The location of this villa is within walking distance of several grocery stores, and the local dairy shop (don't miss the butter there!!), as well as Bellagio (20 min by foot), Villa Melzi (~10 min by foot), and San Giovanni, Loppia and the public beach on Lake Como (~10 min by foot as well). Just note that the walk back up is a steep one - but all of us - including the intrepid grandparents in our group - managed it pretty much daily! The pool is even more beautiful than in these pictures, as are the rooms and living space in the villa. The kitchen easily fit all 16 of us on the one day we had gray weather in the morning. There is also a seating area outside where we enjoyed the amazing views, and many family breakfasts and dinners. If you are looking for a place to reconnect with family or friends, yet still have plenty of private / family space - this is a terrific choice. If you are looking for incredible beauty, peace and quiet, a relaxing pool, attentive and helpful hosts, space for the kids to run around and play, and yet still be close to a fun town with lots of restaurants, shops, gelaterias, and boat services to explore - you have found your dream spot. Seriously. Just go. We look forward to returning soon!

I usually spend my holidays with a large group of friends: every year we choose a different location and rent a villa for a whole week. This year we went to this Villa near Como lake and I honestly think this was one of the best villas I have ever been in. The villa is spacious, cosy, with a basic and elegant style. The outside, indeed, is indescribable: a wonderful garden, surrounded by the hills, with a great lake-view pool. When I first saw the pictures on the internet I was really impressed, but once we arrived the villa and the garden were even much better than in the pictures! So, I want to thank Sabrina and her staff for their professional booking service, I will rely again on Villa & Charme for our next group holiday!

This location is exceptional, a majestic home with a fabulous view to Como lake, great for groups. We were four couples, and had lots of room. Need to have transportation as it is a little out of the way from downtown but worth it for the location, the quiet and view. Completely furnished almost unbelievably in every way. As with previous reviews it is mainly the breath taking views from the garden and the pool that are the real winner. We spent most of our time outside, in fact. We enjoyed the pool so much in the hot days, for a swim or an aperitivo together. I cannot recommend this place more highly. Overall, if you can get the numbers together and want to stay in a villa around Como Lake then this is your place.

Lovely house in a beautiful rural location, with elevated views over the lake. The garden with table and benches is perfect, with a beautiful pool and large sunshade umbrellas when needed. Ample parking space for cars and in our case bikes too. All in all a good place to spend some quiet days, relaxing with the family. The villa is provided with anything ( wifi, satellite TV and air conditioning...). There are also some nice walks from the house with great view. My family and me enjoyed our holiday in this villa very much. I can’t wait to return again!

The owners, Francesca and Odella, were accommodating and helpful. They grew up in the home, so they do ask that certain rules be adhered to. But they were always sweet and quite responsive to any problems or questions that we had. The few drawbacks were that they don't supply you with any bare necessities. Be prepared to purchase toilet paper, shampoo, soaps, etc. Also, the wifi was quite weak. Other than that, it was lovely and quite comfortable for a group of 16 family and friends.
