About this house rental

La Cimetta Asolo is a private home set among the gentle hills of Asolo, in the heart of Veneto: a place for guests who value space, privacy, beautiful landscapes and the freedom to discover this extraordinary part of Italy at their own pace.

This is not simply somewhere to sleep between excursions. La Cimetta is a house to inhabit.

Surrounded by greenery and open views, the property offers generous indoor and outdoor spaces, a private 10 × 5 metre swimming pool, a garden overlooking the surrounding hills and mountains, and quiet corners in which to read, write, think or simply enjoy the changing light throughout the day.

The atmosphere of the house also lends itself naturally to creative work, writing and remote working. Its sense of space, tranquillity and connection with the landscape make it an inviting setting for those who need time to concentrate, develop ideas or continue working while away from home.

From the garden, the view reaches towards Monte Grappa and the mountains beyond. Drive or walk higher into those same landscapes and the perspective changes completely: on clear days, the view can stretch across the Veneto plain towards the Adriatic Sea.

The house is an ideal base for discovering Asolo, Monte Grappa, the Prosecco Hills, historic towns, Venetian villas and the wider Veneto region, while returning each day to the tranquillity of a private home in the countryside.

La Cimetta has been furnished and cared for as a real home rather than as a conventional holiday rental. Guests have the space and independence to settle into their own rhythm, whether that means slow mornings by the pool, exploring local villages and landscapes, visiting Venice and the cities of Veneto, working quietly for part of the day, or simply enjoying dinner at home as evening falls over the hills.

Comfort, practicality and attention to detail are an important part of the experience. The house is intended for guests who travel frequently, appreciate well-considered services and expect the ease and reliability that make a longer stay feel genuinely comfortable.

La Cimetta is particularly suited to guests looking for a peaceful stay, privacy and an authentic connection with the landscape and culture of Veneto.

A private home in the hills, with Veneto unfolding all around it.

We had the most wonderful stay at La Cimetta! Alessandra was very easy to communicate with and helpful. We especially loved her gift of Prosecco from her cellar when we arrived. The views from the house are breathtaking to say the least and Monfumo is an oasis with sweet osterias and vineyards just a short drive to beautiful Asolo and other towns beyond that. Day trips to Venice and the mountains are easy and plentiful. The pool was very clean and our children loved it. The kitchen had everything one would need to cook in and there are many grocery stores nearby. We were with three generations and all had such a wonderful time. We hope to go back soon!!

Very large villa in a nice location, ranging from picturesque to slightly rustic. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Alessandra is a very friendly host; she respected our privacy but provided valuable insider information upon request. A place to return to.

We had a nice time at La Cimetta. The house is very cozy and nicely decorated, situated in a beautiful area. The pool is large and well-kept. The surroundings provide peace and intimacy. Behind the fence there is a vineyard and an olive grove. We haven't met any other tourists in the area. Nearby (a few minutes by car) there are some very good restaurants where local people eat. The owner is nice and helpful, but in case of any questions / problem, it happened that she did not answer the phone and called back the next day. The wine she produces in her vineyard is worth recommending - we bought several boxes for home. On arrival, we were greeted by the owner and her husband, who seemed dissatisfied with the fact that strangers would be living in his house. We were surprised to have to pay a deposit, which was not included in the announcement on the VRBO portal. In addition, it turned out that we had to pay for the electricity consumed at the end of the stay. Considering the very high price of renting the property, these costs are small, but the surprise was unpleasant. The rental price should take into account the consumption of basic utilities. So far, neither we nor our friends have encountered such a situation in other properties. On the day of departure, it turned out that we have over 80 euro to pay (for 1 week) - it was surprising because we are people who consume electricity economically. The owner quoted 45 cents for 1 kWh, which is probably not a real price. The people who collected the keys from us were very nice, although they did not speak English. They were not prepared to return the deposit, they had no cash with them. We covered the purchase amount of the wine from the deposit. We left 100 euros to cover the electricity costs. The owner promised that she would count the exact amount and return the rest to our account, but so far we have not received any information or refund. It's not about big money, but leaves an unpleasant impression. Due to this the departure was a bit stressful for us. To sum up - the area is beautiful and peaceful, the house is cozy and comfortable with a nice swimming pool, you can eat well in the area. However, a few details need to be fine-tuned in terms of rental costs.

This property exceeded our expectations (which were pretty high to begin with!). The home itself is lovely, with tasteful furnishings, and everything required for cooking and enjoying as if it were your own, but what we loved most were the grounds themselves, which are not only beautiful, but beautifully maintained. To enter the estate, automatic gates swing open and as you drive up a short shaded lane, you feel youve entered a different world. Afternoons by the pool we tried several of the Cima Del Pomer proceccos--the extra dry, dry, and Brut. All were wonderful, though my wife favored the Brut and the extra dry ranked first in my rankings. Made me yearn for Indian food, which wouldve been the perfect complement to all three of these wines. My wife was doing research about Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning, who spent extended time in nearby Asolo, which turned out to be a nicely preserved little hill town with excellent food, friendly locals and lots of walking paths. We hiked up to the Venetian-built fortress and were rewarded with spectacular views. Finally, it was especially fun meeting Alessandra and her charming husband and daughter. We dropped by the winery and enjoyed sitting in the kitchen chatting with Alessandra about kids, dogs and Italian politics, which was the perfect way to end a perfect stay.
