About this villa rental
Villa Ylenia or Philoxenia ( the greek world for hospitality) is a five star Luxury Villa!!!
Overlooking the Ionian Sea from a panoramic position, this brand-new villa ( April 2015) offers the highest standards of quality and luxury, at the outskirts of village Lakithra in Kefalonia.
This private luxurious villa has large spacious lounge areas with large windows opening into a very large veranda for relaxing summer entertaining.There is a large infinity swimming pool with jacuzzi, in the garden. The main villa has 3 bedrooms and 3 en-suite bathrooms with shower and at the studio house, next to the main house, there is another bedroom, bathroom with shower and fully equipped kitchen.
The private garden and the large swimming pool (5,50mX11,30m), are surrounded by well tended lawn with olive trees. A terrace connects to the spacious living room and dining area, and the modern fully equipped kitchen.
The terrace offers a spacious outside sitting area with very elegant furniture, where you can enjoy relaxing by the pool with a wonderful sea view. You can also see the island of Zante and the villages of Livathos on the horizon.
At the side of the swimming pool, under the pergola, at a large table is the ideal place to enjoy leisurely al fresco dining .

Amazing villa! Very well appointed with fantastic views over the countryside and coastline. Wonderful inside and out. Modern and extremely well maintained. The cleaner was excellent and visited twice weekly.The delightful owner visited us and ensured we had everything for our stay, and even bought a cake for us to share before our departure, which was an unexpected and lovely touch. We definitely plan to return!

The photos do not do justice to the villa which was built with luxurious finishes and comfort and relaxation in mind. The views to the nearby villages/hills and the sea and Zakynthos are amazing and the critters, beautiful garden and wonderful scents from the jasmine tree by the pool help you relax. Communication with Iro, the property manager, was always easy and prompt (before arrival and during our stay). We appreciated the welcome goodies and cake brought a couple of days later. The villa is extremely clean and well maintained (both inside and outside).
We spent a wonderful time by the pool and were sad to leave this amazing property (the best we’ve rented to date and we’ve rented quite a few over the years). We can’t wait to spend another wonderful vacation at Villa Ylenia and hope to be back soon.

This is a fantastic villa with a lovely finish throughout! We really enjoyed our stay here, as it was very comfortable and is maintained extremely well (with frequent cleaning & also grounds people attending). Iro the manager was so welcoming to our family and made us feel right at home! Thank you Villa Ylenia, and the great team behind it!

My parents, wife, brother, niece and I stayed in Iro's luxurious villa from July 18-25. Iro was an attentive host and gave us good advice on restaurants, beaches, necessities. Thank you Iro! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would revisit in a heartbeat.
The property location is peaceful with charming small villages and churches nearby. Lakithra is above sea level giving us unobstructed sea views from the large bedroom balconies and pool area. We heard churchbells and the faint crow of a rooster everyday! There were 2 restaurants, a bakery, and a neighborhood minimart within walking distance. Having a car is a necessity here. Argostoli and 3 supermarkets were a short drive away. Nearby Avithos beach is somewhat sandy, has great swimming, and is developed with umbrellas, sunbeds, beach bar, and 2 tavernas. FYI, the famous Myrtos beach no longer has ANY services, so bring everything you'll need.
Villa Ylenia was gorgeous and very comfortable with beautiful interior decoration. The website photos do not do this property justice. It was built in 2015 with obvious attention to every detail. There is lots of room to spread out and relax! The outdoor spaces and pool were also beautifully finished with high end lounge furniture. The pool is big, very clean and irresistible. I wish I had a pool like that at home! There are fruit trees too. Hanging out at the beautiful villa all day was an attractive daily option.
The kitchen is fully stocked with kitchen ware. We bought all our foodstuffs and bathroom amenities. We bought charcoal and grilled pork chops and shrimps with visiting friends one evening. Eleni, our cheerful housekeeper, came every other day.
We miss Kefalonia and Villa Ylenia already❤️
