Beautiful One bedroom contemporary Interior Designed Flat just off Kew Green

Lovely pied-a’-terre in Richmond. Walking distance to Kew Village, Kew Retail shops and Kew Gardens. Small accommodations only for 2 people. Everything you need including hairdryer, hot iron and many adapters for our US dual voltage appliances. All the comforts of home. The host was very responsive to any questions or needs we may have had. Good value for this part of London.

Generally this was a lovely apartment and looked exactly like the photographs. The bed was a little uncomfortable and you have to get used to the planes going overhead. Location is great and the host is helpful.

Location good for the activities we wished to do

Pros: the flat is beautiful, the location is good for travel, and Rosie the host is very nice and helpful. Cons: the flat is noisy (train noise every 10 - 15 minutes from 5:30am until after midnight) and the street light outside the bedroom window shined in even around the blinds. The flat is great if you're not a sensitive sleeper like I am. Also, the flat had been completely renovated between booking and staying, so the bathtub in the original listing had been replaced with a shower. The main problem: construction in the flat above. I was not notified of the construction in advance. By the time I arrived, it was too late to find another place. I was there for 2 weeks, and the flat was completely unusable from 8am - 5pm M - F. Overall, the flat needs some adjustments--the blinds in the lounge are see-through at night and should be replaced, needs black out curtains in the bedroom, more hand towels in the kitchen, better and bigger towels in the bathroom and a toilet paper roll holder in the bathroom. Despite all this, if you are not a light sleeper, then I recommend it. But if you are sensitive to noise and light, I cannot recommend it.
