The owner delegated someone else to meet us and this person failed to give us various instructions, things like air conditioning to plug to switch on and where plugs were. There were several bins but no instructions to what to put where and how and where to dispose of it . The house was booked for four adults and only one set of keys given and no key for the small on foot main gate.

This is not your typical rental property. This house is a living museum showcasing a classy Italian house full of paintings, collectible coffee cups. It feels very special to be there. The apartment has everything you need and there is a grocery store 50 m away. It was one of the quietest apartments we rented in our 4 week-stay in Italy. One side faces some green area with tennis courts, the other side faces the building access and the private parking lot. The apartment is 800m away from the train station and the bus is 50 m away. We never took the bus, but we took the train to the city center every day which is just one (long) stop away and it comes every 24 minutes. Christian is a very caring host. Because parts of the train system were under repairs and there was no easy way to reach the apartment from Napoli Centrale train station, Christian found us taxi drivers when we arrived and when we left at reasonable prices. We were very grateful for this.

Nothing related to the apartment. But if you do not really have to come to Naples, then you better skip Naples. I have never seen such a dirty city in my life and I have lived half my life in a communist country. There is garbage everywhere, bins are overfilling and spill over. When they are eventually cleaned, the spill is still there. Sidewalks look like after a war: patches, holes, garbage, uneven surface. Various citizens make an effort to clean: there was a nearby little park which was clean and had a note that it was cleaned by volunteers; private courts at apartment buildings like the one we stayed in are immaculate. Parts of the city center felt unsafe, even though we never traveled to the notorious unsafe neighborhoods and never traveled after dark. On three occasions we felt that we were targeted by pickpockets but luckily for us we were safe. Our experience from communism proved to be useful
