About this villa rental
This delightful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Villa is situated on Palm Avenue, Sunset Crest, a central location in St. James on the famous west coast. It is a wonderful shady retreat in a quiet residential location, ideal for relaxing and just dreaming. It is nestled in large tranquil tropical, gardens and yet it is only 5 minutes away from The Beach House, with large 50 ft pool, bar and restaurant, which is fully available to Palm Villa guests.
We offer a high standard of furnishings and fittings - all you could need for a perfect holiday. The villa has a lovely double patio area for relaxing and dining while the lounge provides comfortable seating (two seater and three seater settees with chair) so you can choose your 'downtime' area! French doors lead you onto the patio and there is large settee and rattan chairs and lovely breeze to keep you cool. The villa has everything to meet your needs - Direct TV, DVD, stereo, Free Wi-Fi and free telephone for all local calls, plus fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, cooker, liquidiser, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and all necessary crockery and utensils to a high standard.
The bedrooms are both en-suite and are light and airy with comfortable king size beds. Both have overhead ceiling fans and AC for your comfort. A third bedroom is also available with twin beds and AC should this be needed.
Fabulous white sandy beaches are 5 minutes walking distance from the villa and wind along the coastline both north and south. As well as tourist attractions such as tropical gardens, safari jeep tours, horse riding, cruises, catamaran trips, water sports, golf, tennis, duty free shopping - the area has everything you could possibly want and more! With so many places of interest and excursions on offer it's hard to decide where to go and what to do! Car hire is simple and easy - to visit the rugged east coast, which is wild and beatuiful and very different to the tranquil west coast
Holetown is the central hub of activity with its bars, restaurants and renown 'First Street'. Banks, supermarket and the new Lime Grove development are right on the doorstep, hosting international fashion brands (for duty free shopping) and restaurants to tempt every taste.

So, this was our 14th stay in Barbados (we think!) and our second time staying at this property. If you've ever stayed in Sunset Crest / Holetown (or Barbados in general!), you'll know that properties vary significantly in quality, cleanliness and value. Let's just say that this property is one we'd return to without hesitation. It is in a great location and with access to the "local pool" (on the beachfront) and represents excellent value for money. Put it this way, we stayed in a 4* hotel in the South for 6 days before heading to Linda's place (thanks for making check in so effortless!) and I'd argue the standards we're comparable.. can't wait to get back there :)

We loved this villa! It is in a great location of beautiful Barbados and we always felt very secure. As two couples sharing the villa, we had plenty of space, both inside and outside. We truly enjoyed the outdoor covered area to start and end our day. A 10 minute walk to the main road where we could easily get transportation to explore the island, and approximately a 12 minute walk to the beach and The Beach House. As “beach people” we didn’t think we’d use the facility but we loved having access to the loungers, pool and bar/restaurant area. A beautiful place to relax while overlooking the sea. Our host Linda was very helpful to ensure everything was satisfactory and everyone was happy. Tania was also available to ensure our stay was a pleasant one. A housekeeper and a gardener also ensure the property is well kept. We highly recommend and would love to return.

This place is amazing, with lots of space for a family or perhaps two couples to share. We stayed with two teenagers and we all had space to enjoy. The rooms are generous in size and there are multiple large outdoor seating areas.The kitchen has everything you need for cooking and comes fully equipped.The host is very helpful and responsive through the entire process, from booking, settling in, enjoying the stay, and leaving. She cares.The house is about 1km from the club with pool and beach, and a bit further for shopping. We stayed for 1 week and did not rent a car. We walked most places and occasionally took a bus (very, very easy to do) or taxi. The walking was fine for us as our family enjoys the trade-off you get for a much larger place that only requires a short walk to the beach and town. If walking is not for you, I would suggest getting a rental car.The only small considerations I would suggest are:1. The bedrooms are air conditioned, but the rest of the house is not. This was perfectly fine for us during our visit in March, but for someone who likes to come home to an ice box while they are on vacation, something to consider.2. Housekeeping is occasional. This was fine for our family and we don't necessarily like or need for housekeeping to interrupt our vacation more than that. But for someone who expects daily deep cleaning, consider discussing with the host. The groundskeeper was there daily and did an excellent job.This place is a gem!

Not very clean, bathrooms especially, all appliances need replacing as are rusting. The grouting on the kitchen worktop dirty and unhygienic as are the bathroom floors. Toilet seats and accessories, shower rails, toilet roll holders, taps and the showers don’t spray properly etc. Trip hazard on steps as the metal edging is coming away, it could be a lovely property if updated and cleaned properly two times a week, our experience was that anything above head height is never cleaned, and the cleaner came once a week. The wooden sun loungers in the courtyard garden were most uncomfortable because the seat pads again need replacing with thicker pads, they are stained and very old.
The pictures on Virbo are out very of date, garden very dark and overgrown.
The access to the beach club was very good with spotless bathrooms, pool was lovely and we could step out onto the beach, it’s at least a fifteen minute walk away from the property.
The 10/10 listing on Virbo is inaccurate because the standard of the property must have been deteriorating over a long period of time. The instruction book in the property is also out of date.
