Step into the soul of the Amalfi Coast at Casa Michara, a beautifully preserved 17th-century villa nestled in the vibrant center of Praiano. Perfectly located just a short walk from the Main Church of San Gennaro, charming restaurants, cafes, and bus stops No. 6 and 7, this elegant home offers a seamless blend of historic charm and modern convenience.
A 15-minute scenic walk—down approximately 350 stone steps—leads to the stunning La Gavitella Beach, while Marina di Praia is just a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk away. You’ll be well-connected with easy access to public transportation, making it simple to explore the entire Amalfi Coast.
The Space
Casa Michara is inspired by the aristocratic Neapolitan style of the 1800s, featuring high vaulted ceilings, colorful Vietri tiles, and terracotta floors. The villa is spacious and thoughtfully equipped for both short stays and extended getaways:
3 cozy bedrooms (sleeps 6 comfortably)
Optional fold-out bed for a young child (available on request at an additional cost – max occupancy: 7 guests)
3 full bathrooms
A bright, comfortable living room with sofa, armchairs, flat-screen TV, and SKY international channels
Free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and heating throughout

There’s also a separate laundry room with a modern washing machine. While we don’t have a dryer, traditional clotheslines allow you to dry your laundry in the open air—as is customary in sunny southern Italy, blessed with good weather most of the year.

We adored our stay at this gorgeous home in the most perfect location!We spent 6 nights here, myself, my fiancé, my mother and my 3 teenage daughters.First, let's talk Praiano vs Positano. So glad we chose to stay in Praiano. It was quaint, easy to navigate and a perfect middle area.The villa is perfect. Three levels let us all spread out, the outdoor space was pure perfection and location was amazing, and had minimal stairs! Which was huge for mr my 72 year old mother. Everything you need is here and the little local market is steps from the villa along with some amazing restaurants. Il Pino is a "do not miss", Antonio singing to our table was epic. We went back again because we had a ball.But really, the highlight was Domineco, He was the best host we've ever had. From before we arrived, videos with how to get in, how everything works, where to have drivers drop you or park, the amount on thought that went into making this the perfect stay was outstanding. A full website with recs on everything you could possible want or need. It was truly remarkable.If you're like we were and in analysis paralysis mode, just book it. You can't have a bad time at this amazing spot! Would give a million starts if we could!Bravo!Amy & family!

Great location without having to deal with stairs. Domenico was always available for questions and the flat was perfectly located close to bus stop, grocery store and city center including restaurants. The view was amazing. No complaints whatsoever. Family of 6 stayed comfortably with all the amenities at our fingertips. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks for a memorable vacation.

This property was everything we hoped for, and more! The house was amazing with breathtaking views. We were right next to a bus stop so we were able to travel easily to Positano, Amalfi, Revello and more- if we wanted to. Praiano has all the beauty of Positano without any of the crowds. The restaurants were spectacular, especially Che Bonita, right across the street, whose amazing staff greeted us each day as we came and went from our house. We really hated to leave! I would recommend this property, and this location, to anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast. Skip Positano, stay in Praiano!❤️

The pictures do not do this property justice. It was so cute and the views were incredible. I only wish I would have received the information about check in and transportation prior to arriving. This home is located right across the road from the bus stop. Getting to Positano was so easy by bus. I would definitely stay here again.
