Great location, close to the ferries. Staff was very friendly. Everything was clean and comfortable. There's a water dispenser with icy cold water. Minifridge, kettle and coffee/tea in the room

No power outlet near the bed, not enough power outlets in general (although we were given a powerboard after we asked), little bedside table next to the bed would be nice

The room was pleasant and spacious enough, very clean and equipped with almost everything you might need for a short stay. Beds were very comfortable, it was also very quiet (not counting the roosters). The location is excellent, but then Kuala Tahan is small and most properties have a convenient location. Hostel does not have its own parking, but the owners arranged a parking spot about 20 m away. Wi-fi was OK. The hostel has a dispenser with filtered hot and cold drinking water, which is great.

A table or a small closet on which to put staff like clothes and other personal belongings would be great. Cockroaches were quite impressive in terms of their size, but this is not the problem of the hostel, but a consequence of the fact that Kuala Tahan is located in the middle of the jungle. You cannot avoid them, so be prepared for an occasional encounter.

The room was modern and clean, felt spacious, and the AC worked great. The bathroom was big enough for the toilet to stay dry when we showered. Complimentary filtered hot and cold water station was useful, and they provided packaged cookies and instant coffee packets in the room. Close walk to the jetty, to Pangeran for great coffee, to Adamia restaurant for yummy dinner, and to Acah laundry service.

Staff were very polite but be aware that there is limited communication. Ahead of our trip, I asked questions via Booking and WhatsApp but the messages were not answered (or even seen). There is no information or recommendations given at check in - this was not a problem for us because I contacted TeBing Guesthouse ahead of time via WhatsApp to book tours, which were excellent.
