Perfectly placed in gorgeous West Yorkshire for both city and countryside amenities. Please check F B page for more reviews and offers :) Woodsome Lodge is luxuriously fitted out for a fabulous stay and as you can see from reviews, we love hosting our groups and go above and beyond to make sure you have a great time :)
Mum or dad got a birthday?... having a catch up with friends?... a girlie pamper weekend?... For only £95pp payable after booking we can offer: Afternoon tea is plentiful and tasty, we can have it delivered with use of a gorgeous crockery set also. Treatments include massage, facials, reiki, reflexology and are just wonderful. A 3 course privately cheffed meal can be arranged at the lodge and is such a treat! (Chef is subject to availability). Add on a cocktail class and meal at Harvey’s bar 7 mins walk away and you have an amazing weekend! :) **Please note: please see the house rules at the end of this description to check we are the right fit for your stay if you are a hen or birthday group, as we aren’t a party house**. Sleeping max 16 people in comfy beds with luxury bedding, this 5 bed house is spacious and private, with complimentary use of its own fantastic hot tub perfectly accessible from the house and sitting in a huge private garden backing onto Jumble Wood. Within walkable distance the Lodge has a gorgeous family pub serving meals late and a 5* rated cocktail bar/bar kitchen - perfect for groups wanting a night out with no taxis!
It’s a mere 25 mins to Leeds for shopping, 5 mins to gorgeous Kirkburton village with its cafes, boutique shops and restaurants and a short drive to beautiful Holmfirth. There are lots of activities available to enhance your stay!! Fantastic countryside in which to bike, walk, fish, golf... group bookings welcome for all these activities all available within a short drive or literally on the doorstep!
There is secure parking for up to 10 cars on a huge drive and the massive garden is great for children. Pets are very welcome. There is a utility room attached to the house for muddy paws and boots etc... We look forward to welcoming you and your group in the future! If you are booking for a hen or birthday weekend, we kindly ask that you ask all guests to carefully read and agree to the following terms of stay before making a booking:
As advertised, we are a quieter, relaxed stay - normal conversation and laughter at residential levels—both indoors and in the garden—are absolutely fine. We want you to have a wonderful time!
However… loud drunken behaviour, shouting, screaming, karaoke, or amplified music that disturbs the peace at any time from any member of a group will result in the entire group being asked to leave immediately, without refund or alternative accommodation provided.
As advertised, we are not a ‘hen party venue’ at all and operate strict policies on noise and respectful conduct to protect both our business and neighbouring properties. We are a ladies pamper weekend break. Whilst low music and games indoors is perfectly fine, **any outdoor music and garden-based hen party games are not permitted**
The property accommodates a maximum of 16 guests at any time.
The hot tub is complimentary and will available until 10:00 PM each evening whereby we ask guests to close up and take socialising inside to respect neighbours.
If your group includes smokers or vapers, please let us know in advance, as we may allow a very limited number.
Parking is available for up to 10 vehicles and outdoor areas are monitored by CCTV.
Midweek bookings require a 3-night minimum (except between Christmas and New Year, when a 2-night stay is available).
We are pet-friendly and offer a large, secure garden for dogs to enjoy. However, please note it may not be fully escape-proof, so supervision is required. Pets must not be in bedrooms at any time.
Please note that we do not accept bookings from third-party agencies, including hen or event planners booking on behalf of clients.

Our stay was perfect. We were celebrating my mum’s 70th and Sara went out of the way to make Mum feel special. Upon arrival Mum was greeted with balloons , a cake and a personalised engraved wine glass . The house is perfect for families of all sizes. We had a mixtures of elderly great grandparents, Nan’s and grandads , mum’s and dads, nieces and nephews and a 4 month old and the house is ideal. There is enough space to have some quiet time but also plenty of space to get together. The lodge was also spotless and for someone who is very particular about cleanliness I don’t say this lightly but it was immaculate. Would definetley recommend a stay here

Six cousins 8 years and under, a sixth birthday celebration and 7 adults (from as far apart as Scotland and London) made for a wonderfully busy week. Glorious weather, Easter egg hunting, den building in the woods, a visit to climb Victoria Tower at Castle Hill and a visit to RSPB Oldmoor, capped off with a relaxing time in the fantastic hot tub. Both house and garden were perfect - a great time was had by all!

From start to finish the whole experience of staying here has been amazing. From being welcomed with cake, flowers and prosecco to the cleanliness and location! We will be back! Xx

Myself and my family were celebrating my birthday as I was turning 21 and we wanted a little get away to enjoy the occasion.
Not that we had low expectations walking into the property but we never thought it would be as good as it was. The initial cleanliness of the cottage was immaculate and it felt not lived in. Every room had a all bed mads up and there was no dirt not dust anywhere. Spotless.
Sara provided everything required including cups, toilet roll, pots and pans, cutlery and even supplied a cake and some brownies to welcome us. It was small touches like this that just made the whole stay.
There was simple rules to follow such as noise level which although can be off putting really aren’t an issue. It’s not asking to be silent just to be respectful that you aren’t in a festival and to not use disrespectful language when they have neighbours. At 10PM Steve, one of the neighbours, comes to lock the hot tub and you are asked to make your way in which after a day of games and being in the tub .. we were more than ready to do so. He also chatted and offered some useful history on the cottage and walks available. He truly was amazing.
Games, DVD’s and wifi were all provided to ensure you were never left bored.
There were two pubs down the road about 7 minutes walking distance that we went to and again the staff there are so lovely and welcoming, we had such a laugh. Shops such as aldi and Morrison’s were just past the pub so it’s very local to shops.
Finally I want to say how organised and proper Sara has been. She replies instantly with any questions and sends you every detail required to enjoy your stay and be fully aware of what you are entering into.
I can’t stress enough how amazing the stay has been and we are already planning our next stay. I couldn’t recommend the property enough :)
