About this villa rental
Independent villa with private pool situated a short distance away from the charming, medieval town of Certaldo, on the Chianti hills. This property was restored in 2008 and turned into a nice, small villa providing comfortable interiors. Outside guests can enjoy use of a large, 1-hectare garden with fenced-in pool. In close proximity there is a small river and a lake offering sport fishing facilities. Horse-back riding facilities approx. 500 meter away.
A secondary road connecting the small towns of Certaldo and Marcialla passes at the back of the house.
The railway station in Certaldo allows easy access to Florence, Siena, Empoli, Pisa…
A pizzeria is 250 m from the house away.
Distances: Certaldo with shops of all kinds 6 km away, San Gimignano 20 km, Empoli 32 km, Florence 36 km, Volterra 44 km away, Siena 54 km, Pisa 90 km, Lucca 105 km away, the coastline area (Cecina) is approx. 90 km away and the Chianti Classico region is within 20/50 km.
At guests’ disposal: large garden, private, entirely fenced-in swimming-pool (4,4 x 8 m – depth 0,90 - 1,80 m – open from 01/05 through 30/09), furnished outdoor area with table, chairs and barbecue.
This property is fenced only on the side of the road.
Parking within the grounds.
Extra Services: Baby bed upon request.
Small pets are allowed by paying an extra charges of € 60,- / per pet (to be paid locally).

Positiv: Lage und Pool Top. Florenz , Siena , Chiantigegend ist nicht weit entfernt, auch das Meer nicht. Gutes Restaurant neben an,10 Minuten gemütlicher Spaziergang.
Negativ: Lärmige Strasse hinter dem Haus , keine Kaffeemaschine (mussten eine kaufen),
Heruntergekommene Gartenmöbel ( Teilweise Schrott, Liegenstühle verloren die Räder)
Keine Internetverbindung und WhatsApp. Preis zu hoch.

Wunderschönes und traumhaftes Haus mit sehr großem Pool. Es gibt eigentlich nichts zu bemängeln, außer ein paar störenden Details, die vom Vermieter leicht zu beheben wären:
Gute Küchenausstattung aber viel zu wenig Besteck. (bspw. nur 4 Löffel und Gabeln). Das Ehebett war defekt und hing in der Mitte durch, habe es vor Ort provisorisch repariert. Das Kinderdoppelstockbett ist in allereinfachster Ausführung. Ich habe zumindest die Leiter angebunden, weil diese ohne Befestigung mehrfach beim benutzen weggerutscht war. Holzliegen und Sessel waren schon sehr klapprig und fielen manchesmal auseinander. Die angesprochenen Mängel sind eigentlich völlig unnötig und wären leicht zu beheben und in dieser Preisklasse auch zu erwarten. Ansonsten wunderschön, wir haben einen sehr schönen und erholsamen Urlaub verbracht!

Die Anlage ist echt Top, richtig gross und sehr gepflegt. Für Familien, welche ihren Urlaub in ruhiger Lage geniessen möchten ist es optimal. Das Ferienhaus ist relativ abseits vom Zentrum, aber nach kurzer Fahrzeit auch kein echtes Problem.Die Hausbesitzer sind zuvorkommend und immer erreichbar, kümmern sich auch permanent.
