Great helpful host allowing early check in which was very much appreciated and communicated was straightforward. Apartment was OK - I basically found itunloved - particularly the bathroom - shower badly needs sealant, paint and had major ant issues which I struggled with - flip-flops needed at all times. But on a positive note bed clean and comfortable. Apartment big enough for two wouldn't recommend more people unless the sofa bed is replaced. Overall perfect location and village has everything you need - apartment needs a bit of love and investment.

Lovely clean well equipped apartment within the old village Bars restaurant's supermarket all on site and only 10/15 min walk to the marina.Communication with Gail was 1st class We had a great time and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

It was a good place, everything was fine. The only thing was the sofa bed wasn't the most confortable other than that was great.

Firstly - Gail the owner was very helpful throughout - on email answering all our queries before our trip - thank you. We did get sent a map but no door number though so we didn't know exactly where the apartment was and I had to call Gail late at night to find the place. Overall the apartment was fine (clean, modern, all the equipment you need) - but we wouldn't rave about it I'm afraid. Main gripes would be: the apartment is small, has no aircon and no outside space. There are a couple of chairs outside but in a dark covered in corridor so were never used. Having no aircon was really the deal breaker for us (my fault for not checking before we went! Just presumed there would be) so it was hard to sleep well as too hot (we did have a fan but that's not the same). We had about 20 friends staying in different apartments in the Old Village and all had balconies/roof terraces so ours did pale a bit in comparison we are sad to say. We did however not pay as much as them - so it totally depends what you're prepared to pay for. Like I said to start with - it was clean, looked after and had everything you need. (the iron could do with replacing though as pours water everywhere so you have to drip water on to clothes from a bottle and then attempt to iron!). It was great to have a pool towel as well as a bath towel provided. The welcome book said we could have linen changed after 7 days but we didn't have anyone contact about that so didn't have that service included either? Overall we had a great time in Portugal as out there for a friend's wedding but wished we'd spent a bit more money to get more space, outside space and aircon.
