Everything. Hospitality, comfort, convenience, location, price. Voelroepersfontein is a large house in a magnificent garden. The hostess, Marietjie, is gracious and very interesting. The town is quiet and safe, I went on long walks with no incident.
Restaurant options in the town are limited, except for the albertinia Hotel. Plan on their Sunday dinner! The Garden Route Game Lodge a few kilometers away has a good restaurant.

Travelling solo, I felt instantly at ease here. From the warm welcome by my hostess to the delicious breakfasts and the beautiful, well-kept garden, everything about this stay was a pleasure. The house has an older character - not modern, but lovingly kept, and part of its magic. The magnificent Champion tree alone is reason enough to come. A real treasure.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay. Beautiful house, library and breakfast was the best. Served on the balcony with beautiful china and so tasty.
Lovely atmosphere with friendly owner and staff. Plenty of places to sit and relax inside and out.
Albertinia Hotel a short walk away has good pub and food.
Also recommend game drive at the Garden Route Game Lodge

I liked the garden and the breakfast.
The bathroom was on the other sider of the the corridor. The mattress not in good condition. Dining chairs need attention.
