Excellent!

A little haven. Very stylish, spotlessly clean. Clever landscaping, sleek pods grouped around a small swimming pool and shielded from neighbouring properties by palms and other tropical shrubbery. Very friendly and helpful hostess who recommended and then reserved a restaurant table for us

Nothing. The only problem we had was with locating it. A street view of the beautifully restored external wall and entrance gate would have been helpful. We overshot initially and ended up at a rather bleak looking block of flats at the end of the road.

Extremely comfortable room with real character

The room, bathroom, outside garden area and general perspective was excellent.

The only difficulty was that having a disability, we had to park round the corner in another street. However, the accommodation itself is first class.

It needs renovating and cleaning properly. Curtains were dirty, there was damp in the room, generally dusty, the bedding was brown and totally uninviting. only positive was the politeness and friendliness of the host on our arrival.

Generally rooms are clean, but the floor could be swept better. And also the floor in the bathroom could be cleaner. Please, add milk to the breakfast! Coffee with milk tastes better 🙂

Great hosts and a lovely peaceful stay

Alex was the perfect host and our room was exactly as pictured. The bed was comfy and the shower was good too. We were in a ‘Deluxe Double Room’ which was lovely and quiet, and we had the optional breakfast which was great - a chocolate croissant, bread, fresh fruit salad and apple compote. Great value and we would definitely return if we’re back in this area.

This is an old building. Poor sound isolation is to be expected but obviously better noise insulation would be an improvement. Not a dislike, more an mmmmm.

Good location. Short walk into town with adequate street parking outside. Nice little secluded outdoor area for guests. Very stylishly decorated. Excellent value for money. Shower was large and powerful

I think the house has been divided up into 4 individual units with a fifth (which we had) on the first floor of the building at the back which houses (probably) the hot tub etc. and (definitely) the basketball practice court. I'm sure of this because I could hear the ball bouncing downstairs. I'd stop here again but would ask for a different room. Access to our first floor room was up an external metal spiral staircase which may prove problematic to some. I liked the big shower room but some may be put off by the fact it's open to the room like a wet room with no door or screen. Personally the room could have done with a couple of chairs and a table.

Well set out with good character. Lovely dining room. Very friendly and helpful couple, and it was nice to meet Melanie (and Oscar!), who was very helpful and friendly.

Age of house means stairway and doors are noisy, but not a problem for a stopover.

Good location with on-street parking, about 10 mins on foot from the town centre with an easy route. Helpful, friendly hosts in terms of pre arrival contact, flexibility and advice re local amenities. Pleasant breakfast.

There were tea and coffee facilities in the room, but no milk. Fortunately I had some of my own but had I not that would have been an issue. I am confident it would have been provided had I asked, but as the hosts were absent at my arrival, this would have involved a delay. This is a very minor point which I provide simply for the benefit of the hosts who clearly aspire to a perfect bed and breakfast and just about otherwise achieve it.

A beautiful apartment for my one night which was warm and clean and very comfortable on my trip further down South. I spoke on telephone to wife of Rambur ( apologies as he was detained elsewhere) who gave me entry code access and spoke to me as I found everything I needed for the nights stay and rest! Messages later to check if all was OK as well. I was very impressed and happy! Thank you both and I look forward to another stay! Tony Rickell

Very good value for a quiet place with a sauna. Perfect for a couple. The the city is pretty too!

The room was very comfortable and well designed. Plus there is everything you need to make yourself a tea / coffee. The sauna is great, and the jacuzzi also. The area is quiet. Alexis is a very nice host on top of the rest. Better than what we had expected and very good value. We intend to go back there if we travel again between Paris and Brussels. Highly recommended!

The host, Alex, contacted us to check our time of arrival so as to be there to greet us. He was extremely friendly, recommending a restaurant to visit. The bedroom was tastefully decorated and our breakfast first class

Very pleasant stopover for easy reach of midday ferry.

We did not need breakfast because of early start to catch ferry. Helpful hostess to greet us and within easy walking distance of the town centre and main attractions.

One of the bedside lamps kept flashing so we unplugged it. The tap in the basin is not adjusted properly and spills out on to the surface. Otherwise no problems.
