    The location is fantastic, with plenty of food outlets nearby and just a short walk from Plaza Pelangi. However, the whole neighbourhood isn’t very pedestrian-friendly, which is a bit of a downside.

    Parking very narrow road, only one lift working from parking to lobby. Worst part night hotel got heavy cigarette smell (after we settled down). Had to change room but then the new room the aircond is not chill enough. Teribble experience.

    ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5) I stayed at Trove Hotel Johor Bahru for two nights and, unfortunately, I was disappointed considering the price of over RM700. The room itself looked decent, but there were several issues that affected our stay: - The blackout curtains did not fully cover the window. Even around 3:30 PM, the room was very bright. We had to use hair clips to try to close the gap, but light was still coming through. - The complimentary refreshments were very basic—only two sachets of 3-in-1 coffee/tea and sugar. For a room in this price range, I expected more. - The shower water pressure was weak, and the hot water never became properly hot, only lukewarm. - The lifts were slow, and waiting times were longer than expected. - The swimming pool was quite small, and there weren't many facilities or activities inside the hotel. - The hotel's restaurant was expensive (around RM80–100 per person), and there weren't many attractive dining options within walking distance because the surrounding area is mainly roads and commercial lots. The staff were polite and the room was clean, but overall the experience didn't justify the amount we paid. There are likely better-value hotels in Johor Bahru for the same budget. I hope the hotel considers improving these areas so future guests can have a better experience.
