The location is wonderful: close to the volcano Poás. At 1750 m of altitude, it's a pleasant escape from the tropical heat. The hortensias garden is very well maintained and has a view. The loft itself is spacious, luminous, very comfortable, and decorated with taste. The bed is great, and the dehumidifier provoded was very appreciated. The neighbourhood is quiet.
One core issue is that our Booking contact Henry seemed far away, acting as middle man. Although responsive and polite, he wasn't very helpful with the little issues we encountered. No contact with local staff was provided to us. The phone number given is located in the US and only reaches an emergency Hotline.
The fireplace advertised is not usable: the chimney flue is leaking, which smoked the loft in a matter of minutes and forced us to vent profusely.
There is a dog on the property, Minnie, which herself is lovely, but followed us anywhere on the road as soon as we left the place by foot. This led to a few concerning situations, for the dog and for road users. No one on the property would keep her restrained, she can go out and follow guests at will.

Spacious, modern room with lots of daylight and a very nice balcony with a great view. Large and comfortable bed and two sinks in the bathroom. Although some other studios are close by it felt very private and we weren't overlooked. Easy enough self-check in with good instructions.
More hooks or a rack to dry the wet towels which don't dry well in the bathroom because it doesn't get much light and is cold.

It had a nice view
No one informed us about a construction going on right in front of the property. The idea was to have a quiet weekend, it was impossible with all that noise. The day we had to check out, we couldn’t leave because there was a huge hole in front (they were installing some pipes). The workers mentioned informing the property for guests to take the cars out, but no one told us. We had to wait for about 2 hours for them to finish their work and be possible to go through.
Room was clean, everything looked nice, but bed had a weird smell, like if clothes hadn’t dried properly
