Comfortable Cottage at Scenic Lake

Super schöne Lage direkt am See mit toller Sauna. Auch zum Angeln prima. Der Gastgeber war sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

De plek aan het meer, het sfeervolle huisje waar alle basis dingen aanwezig waren, de kayaks en bootje bij de huur inbegrepen. Het was gewoon echt top!

Eigenlijk beviel alles. De trap naar boven is wellicht wat steil, maar wij vonden dat prima.

Die idyllische Lage- ein Traum! Gut angeschlossen an Läden für den täglichen Bedarf. Das Haus ist klein, aber wir waren zu viert und es passte. Waschmaschine/Trockner, Spülmaschine, Klimaanlage und Sauna vorhanden. Auch Bettwäsche und Handtücher, was unglaublich praktisch ist. Der See samt breitem Steg, eher eine Terrasse, lädt zum Sonnenbaden ein. Der ältere Herr, der mit auf dem Grundstück lebt störte uns überhaupt nicht. Und wir ihn mit unseren Kindern ebenso nicht. Zum nahegelegenen Flughafen kann ich nur sagen: es nervte nicht und war nicht übermäßig laut, zumal die Frequenz auch nicht hoch ist. Der Besitzer hat Naschen und einen Sekt zur Begrüßung bereitgestellt-danke! Wir würden wiederkommen!

The location is beautiful, the outdoor area is clean and well-maintained. We appreciated the welcome snacks and drinks. But honestly, that money would have been better spent on new pillows.

Unfortunately, our stay here didn’t live up to expectations. First of all, it’s not clear from the photos on Booking that the cabin you rent is located directly behind a large main house, which completely blocks the view - a very disappointing surprise when you’re hoping for privacy and a scenic escape, which turned out to be more of a marketing claim than reality. Secondly, and most importantly, the mattresses in the ”loft” absolutely cannot be considered proper sleeping places. They have no side support, are crushed and uneven, and you simply slide off them during the night. The pillows were also in very poor condition - worn out, definitely not what you’d expect for the price. Overall, it was almost impossible to get any proper rest, which unfortunately ruined the whole idea of a relaxing weekend away. The sofa downstairs is also not a bed - it has uncomfortable support bars across it, making it uncomf for sleep. Some items in the cabin are too old - the hairdryer, for example, looked about 50 years old and didn’t feel safe to use. There were other details that showed a lack of care - for instance, the oar holders in the boat didn’t lock in, which could be dangerous if you get stuck in the middle of the lake. In the sauna, there’s no handle on the inside of the door, so it doesn’t close tightly, so heat escapes through the gaps and that’s why sauna feels like not hot enough. Btw, there was trash left inside - empty bottles from previous guests.
