Mixed feelings this time. If the rules for extras were clear when booking, this would be a nice stay
The view is fantastic, The apartment was clean. Few nice restaurants close by with fantastic food. We were the only guests in the apartments, so peace and quiet. Clear rules of check in and out. The host/agency didn't charge us for towels and bed sheets when confronted that there was no information on website that they charge extra for those items. They have also extended our gas allowance from 2 to 5 m3 for free.
When arrived - no soap, no toilet paper...actually no cleaning products at all except small dishwashing liquid. No electric kettle, no microwave - these items advertised as present. The gas hobs broken - giving no spark; fortunately after a while found old lighter in my luggage to boil some water. 100 euros of deposit taken on arrival IN CASH ONLY - no mention of deposit when booking. The allowance of only 2m3 gas per 5 days is way not enough for this time of the year - we had to heat apartment (approx.30 min./day total) and used 6m3, weather was cold, about +3deg.C outside - no mention of gas allowance when booking. Charge of 5 euros for every 1 cubic meter over limit. Towels not included in price, sheets (!!!) not included in price. Supposedly this is standard; booked few times in Italy before, never had that problem. Had to wait till 22.30 to put 3-year old to bed until got the towel to dry him after bath. Every day driving extra 15 min. to come off the hill on Lake Garda main ring road, and same coming back up. So location has a lovely views but it also has its downsides. And the funny letter saying "how to enjoy your holidays better" from the agency has nothing but DON'Ts. Really was hoping for a little more mental comfort on arrival.
