Apartment with lovely view

Квартира дуже зручна та затишна. Будинок виглядає історично, але всередині сучасний ремонт. Вікна виходять на жваву вулицю, і звідси можна швидко дістатися до метро. Увечері я повертався додому і вирішив зайти в сусідню кав’ярню. Було приємно випити каву та відчути атмосферу міста. Це ідеальне місце для тих, хто любить комфорт і хоче жити в самому центрі подій.

This apartment has a very good location in a lively central area near one of the most useful metro stations in Kiev. The building is a beautiful post-War Soviet construction with high ceilings and spacious interiors. There is a lift. The flat is cosy, well furnished and perfectly well heated in the winter. The host met us in front of the building and explained everything (she spoke English and Russian). It was even possible to store our belongings at the office on the day of our departure.

There is nothing to criticise. Guests with sensitive hearing might be disturbed by the traffic at night (it is located on a cobbled street).

The location was excellent and the accommodation had a certain charm about it. The balcony was a bonus. There was a lift up to the apartment.The wifi was good and the place was warm.

We agreed to meet the host at 2pm but ended up having to get the nice lady at the laudrette to phone them up for us and tell her we had arrived. We eventually got into the apartment at 3:15pm, it was a cold wait! The host did not speak English as advertised and on walking in it was apparent that the whole place needed a good renovation. The mattress on the bed was old and springy and the bedding was mediocre at best. The sofa bed didnt work properly and the furniture was tired looking. We couldn't get the TV box to work and the connection was a bunch of wires sticking out of the old CRT TV. The floor was scratched and quite dusty. There were loose wires everywhere and overflowing plugs. We also had a bit of trouble with the smell of gas in the property and we had to open the kitchen window where it was quite strong. The cooking utensils were a mismatch of different bits and pieces and I wouldn't imagine you'd be doing much cooking in the apartment. The worst bit by far was check out when I was shouted at by two people who came to pick up the keys and check over the apartment. After a long time of being shouted at in a language I didn't understand I eventually figured out that she was looking for a small towel, which we hadn't seen, let alone used.
