Afternoon Cottages

Very, very nice and comfortable place. Spotless. Beautiful setting and nice windows to look out - cozy in a rainy and windy Iceland afteroon. The kitchen is pretty well appointed - note: you may want to get a cutting board to avoid damage. The hosts were clear and communicated well. Very dark area, ideal for Northern Lights (unfortunately, conditions didn't allow us to see them).

Can't think of anything - well, maybe lack of cutting board (ha! ha!)

Great location for aurora if weather is supportive. (which it was not in our case though). well equipped kitchen, Smart TV equipped with Netflix and youtube apps. Do your shopping before you checkin as nothing nearby. Clean roads except the last 1 KM. Free parking spot but be mindful of winds as its open space. there are 6 units numbered 1-6. we stayed in Number 1. 1-3 are little lower side of the hill and closer to parking, 4-6 gets better views as they are up the hill but far from parking.

We had bad weather the day we stayed and place was bit vibrating because of winds, though its stable and nothing happened but it was little scary since the place is bit secluded.

Location is a somewhat 24km detour from the main roads. Very peaceful and surrounded by a nice view. Kitchen had all the appliances, a must since the location is far away from any restaurant. The cottages were very small and there was no problem with hot water, despite the location.

Although the location was peaceful and remote, the experience fell short of expectations—especially for a property designed for viewing the Northern Lights. The window size was surprisingly small, limiting the view. Only cottages #3 and #6 offer full privacy; the others have their small windows facing directly toward neighboring units. This setup not only compromises privacy but also increases light pollution from nearby cottages.
