SOL by Meliá Marina Beach Crete

The food was outstanding and one of the highlights of our stay. There was a huge variety every day, and I even tried foods I had never eaten before, such as octopus. Everything we tasted was delicious, and the desserts were amazing and always varied. The hotel was spotless, the staff were friendly, and the animation team was super and made the atmosphere even more enjoyable.

The only thing I missed was the option to have an iced coffee. With the warm weather it would have been a great addition. Apart from that, everything was excellent.

Food was very good, especially Isla restaurant which you could use free once during a week stay. Pools were nice, but littlebit cold in October (for kids). Cleaning every day. All the personal was very helpful and friendly. You have to check out from rooms at 11, but you can stay in hotel and still use pools and eat during the day

Pillows were too high, especially for childen. The gym should be bigger also

There are many swimming pools to choose from and the children loved playing in the kids pool. The Bungalow we had opened up to one of the swimming pools which made it easier for our family to get to the pool. The food and drinks were delicious and always available. The entertainment at night was amazing ranging from magic, light and dance shows. The hotel is also very close to a sandy beach which was convenient. All the staff were very friendly too!

Although the rooms were very clean and spacious, the probably need a makeover as things are starting to look a bit old. Especially the bathroom which is a little small for comfort. People also "book" the lounge chairs using their towels very early so it is hard to find a spot sometimes. Lucky our bungalow opened to the pool so we left our things there.

Very nice and hospital staff, nothing was hard to them, always trying to make yor stay even more pleasant.
