I'm so glad we chose this property! Our family wanted 5 nights in Normandy, and we really had no idea where we should stay to see all the cities we wanted to hit (Rouen-1hr45, Caen-20min, Bayeux-40min, Mont-Saint-Michel-1hr45, Pointe du Hoc-1hr20). It was perfection! Lion-sur-Mer is an exceptionally quiet town where we could sleep with the windows open and not hear drunk revelers all night. The townhouse is close to a pretty good bakery, a grocery store (Contact) with nice wine selection and local pate sausage with mushrooms at the butcher counter they were more than happy to let us sample. There is a beautiful church across the street with bells that toll. The couch was cozy, wifi good (not as strong on the 3rd floor), the kitchen had plenty of cooking pots and food basics (salt, oil, tea, sugar, coffee pods-Senseo, spices). The bathtub was clean! My children really enjoyed this, and the hot water was ample and abundant! One bit of feedback would be directions for how things work and where they are. We found the washing machine behind a door in the fence/wall in the backyard. We never quite figured out the cycles because everything was soaking wet when done, but we didnt ask for help. The drying rack and towel warmer were great, though. Also, operating the oven was a guess, but it cooked well for our dinners. Overall, the beds were cozy and the temperature perfect for our September stay. We were never hot. We have such incredible memories we'll never forget!

Before our visit, our host answered all of our questions. During our stay, they were exceedingly helpful and in touch. They take great care & pride in their villa, and rightly so. The furnishings were comfortable & decor exquisite. The village is close to several great restaurants and to D-Day historic sites, with a charming church and sometimes fresh produce vendor right across the street.

The house and yard were adorable. Cute town, close to beach and good restaurants. 1 hour from Normandy beaches. The host was nice and easy to talk with. However; they tried to charge us for making the beds and cleaning…. Asking us to leave extra money. We did not leave any. It felt a little dishonest….

This old French row house has been updated to a high standard. It is very clean. The kitchen is well appointed with full sized fridge (with freezer), dishwasher and table for 8! Exactly as pictured the stone walls, white ship lap walls, whitewashed original upper floors, large French style windows filling rooms with light and beautiful little decorating touches everywhere, give it a lovely beach feel. The tiled main floor and completely tiled bathroom add much appreciated modern touches. We especially appreciated the walled garden which includes a large patio table for outdoor eating and 2 tree swings for children. The situation of this property in a little courtyard off the road is excellent. It is right across the street from Eglise Saint-Pierre de Lion-sur-Mer in the original ancient fishing village. Now the area provides a nearby grocery store, 2 bakeries, pharmacy and several good restaurants and the sea with endless beach, all within walking distance. There is free public parking on the street and or a quiet, treed, 31 spaced parking lot kitty corner to the courtyard; we were usually able to park directly in front of the property. We used this location to do a history exploration of all the WWII beaches etc. but is also a great location for a family beach vacation. As a couple we appreciated all the space in this house to spread out and relax; it was peaceful, quiet and comfortable after long days touring. It would also be a great house for a family with 3 single beds and a crib on the top floor, games and videos for children. Note: This house has three stories. The living room, kitchen and a toilet are on the ground floor. The main bedroom with a double bed and the bathroom are on the second floor. The top floor has 3 single beds. IF you have any mobility issues the old narrow spiral (walled in) staircase may prove difficult. We, in our 70’s) had no difficulty. Celine and Nicolas are French speaking. Both were friendly and welcoming. We interacted mostly with Nicolas and he made a great effort to communicate in English; he was charming and helpful. Flatscreen TV—the few stations are French. Bring your Apple TV or Google Switch ; we forgot our Apple TV :( There is also a VCR so bring movies in your favoured language. In summary this is a great place to stay. Highly recommended

Very nice house, beautiful rooms, big bathroom, very clean. Beautifully decorated, a real ' beachhouse'. We loved it. Well equipped for cooking. Nice little garden.Good location. Supermarket and all restaurents in walking distance. Short walk to the wonderful beach. It was also good location for doing daytrips by car along the Normandy coast. Our hosts warmly welcomed us. We enjoyed our stay very much.

How many places come with a cherry tree full of cherries? The house had everything we needed. We cook about two meals a day and had everything we needed. It was really well decorated. My friends at home were impressed. Little things were taken cared for. Coffee and filters were already there. Our bed room had a reading lamp on both sides. One of the bikes had a problem and it was fixed immediately. We had a wonderful experience.

Das Haus ist ein Traum, mit ganz viel Liebe eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sofort zu Hause und willkommen gefühlt. Die Holztreppe knarrt und verleiht dem Haus damit noch mehr Charme. Parken war auch kein Problem , auf der anderen Straßenseite war ein großer, kostenloser Parkplatz. Der Garten, mit seinem schönen Kirschbaum, ein Lieblingsplatz unserer Kinder . Das Wetter war uns mit meist um die 25°C und mehr, Wasser bei 19-21°C , auch sehr gewogen. Der Weg zum Strand, an den kleinen Läden vorbei mit sehr netten Verkäufern, für uns eine Freude. Das Beste, in allen Läden ( Bäcker, Restaurant,Supermarkt ) sprachen viele auch englisch. Und die Vermieter, immer da ( wohnen 2 Häuser weiter) , immer erreichbar und ganz großartige Menschen. Danke für diesen wunderschönen Urlaub.

Es hat uns sehr gut in Lion-sur-Mer gefallen. Das Haus ist wie beschrieben und dargestellt. Es war alles da was man brauchte. Supermarkt und Bäcker gleich um die Ecke, Meer auch nur ein kleines Stück entfernt. Nur 4 Sterne, warum; der Garten hätte etwas gepflegter sein können. Die Kaffeemaschine müsste gewartet werden und einige Kleinigkeiten auch mal erneuert. Eine kl. Mappe mit Informationen über die Wohnung wäre auch hilfreich. Nach der Waschmaschine mussten wir suchen und diese auch erst mal putzen. Aber alles nicht schlimm. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder dieses Ferienhaus mieten.

The house has been very tatstefully renovated and decorated! It is well equipped, we didn't miss anything! It's located in the center of the small town so the beach, restaurants, bakeries and stores are just s foodwalk away. The owners are very friendly as well and live next door so they are easy to find in case you need anything. We spent two very relaxed weeks here in spring!

On s’est senti tout de suite très à l’aise dans ce gite. Des plus grands à la petite qui a adopté la poupée et a profité des jeux. Le temps d’automne n’a pas permis d’utiliser le jardin mais pourquoi pas y revenir au printemps.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour, la maison est très bien située, proche de tout(plage, boulangeries, restaurants). Elle est fonctionnelle, décorée avec goût, de l'espace pour une famille avec 3 chambres. Un beau petit jardin qui doit être bien agréable en été. Céline et Nicolas sont sympathiques. Endroit que l'on recommande!

Jolie maison, conforme au descriptif , déco bord de mer, un jardin agréable prés de tous les commerces et proche de la plage. Seul petit bémol beaucoup trop de marche pour une mamie avec deux enfants en bas âge (les chambres des enfants étant au second étage et une différence de niveau entre la cuisine et le séjour) Concernant la communication, j'ai du envoyer un chèque de 90 euros (draps plus ménage) en rentrant chez moi, n'ayant vu personne mais la boite à clés est très appréciable.
