About this cabin rental
Welcome to the Bear's Den cabin! It is located in the Peaks of Lake Lure gated community and it offers plenty of space for the whole family (sleeps 11). Relax with your loved ones around the fireplace or have fun grilling out on the spacious deck while the kids are roasting s'mores at the firepit. The amazing mountain views will add that extra special touch to your mountain vacation. The kitchen offers all of the necessary tools for you to prepare meals for your family and the updated counter tops and appliances will help you feel the comfort of home. Just a short drive to the lake, beach, and everything else Lake Lure has to offer.
NOTE: A mandatory non-refundable damage insurance fee ($59-$79 depending on the coverage) is applied to each reservation. This is not a pet-friendly home. Guests are required to sign a Vacation Rental Agreement at the time of booking. There are two security cameras on the property - one facing the driveway and another facing the front of the house and road.
In the event of a cancellation by Tenant, the VRBO/HomeAway Strict Cancellation Policy will apply.

Our second stay at Bears Den, and that should be telling. It is a wonderful vacation home; great layout, beautiful location, well appointed, and the Christmas decorations were stellar.
The rental agent is engaging and responsive (one slight comms glitch, but quickly worked through).
Our only recommendations for change would be to consider changing out the living room seating (you may need help getting up from the couch especially) and adding a larger filter to the water system.
Other than that, the beds and linens were great and the kitchen came with everything a family needs to make memories!

We had a perfect long weekend getaway. The house had everything we needed and more. It is setup so thoughtfully, and makes you feel right at home. And the view is awesome. Definately will be back.

Beautiful cabin & home. Love the location and the views. However the communication with the property manager wasn't very good. The first night we didn't have any water (with 5 kids). I tried contacting the property manager around 6pm with no response until 9am the next day. So 15 hours no water. For it to be the water lines shut off from the inspector. Then the entry keypad quit working with my code & the air conditioning wasn't working blowing warm air. Stayed 80 plus degrees in the home. I tried contacting property manager again multiple times to get absolutely no response at all. So our last 4 days we had no air & we had to leave the back door unlocked everytime we left or we would not have been able to get back in the house. Love the home but they need to work on communication issues extremely bad.
