About this house rental
This 3BR/2BA Chalet was built in 2000 and is continually updated. This home offers privacy and is situated next to the Mt Hood Nat'l Forest w/trails along the Zig Zag River. Features include soaring vaulted ceilings, a large yard with fire pit, lg deck, gas fireplace, internet, cable, and bluetooth sound system.
This mountain vacation home is located 5 minutes from three different rivers, hiking trails, Resort on the Mountain Golf Course and a variety of local restaurants in Welches, OR. Ski Bowl Resort is a 15 minute drive an offers winter day/night skiing as well as a summer activity park with bungee jumping, mountain biking, go kart racing, zip lining, and alpine sledding.
Please be aware that there is no trash pick up service in our neighborhood. Our guests must take out trash they create. We do have trash bags at the home and recommend that guests take trash to the Sandy Transfer Center just off Hwy 26 on way back to Portland (19600 SE Canyon Valley Rd, Sandy).

The house is difficult to find (do not use Waze or it will get you lost) and it is literally in the middle of the forest. There are not enough towels and sheets and the host was unwilling to provide more when we asked- which is not acceptable. The road to the property is not paved and the access to the river is not pretty or really usable at all. The property is close to many beautiful places and it is a nice house, but in a remote location and without sufficient amenities.
