We really enjoyed staying at the property; we had everything we needed, privacy, and could walk to many restaurants and shops. We had no issues with parking and the home was very comfortable. We only had a couple of days, but would have enjoyed more time.

We enjoyed our stay in this historic home...perfect location for our sightseeing goals. Spacious, clean and accommodating. Most of our stay was during 90 and 92 degree temps and there were some issues keeping all the rooms cool, but the owner was prompt in responding to our needs and to help us out. The home in Butchertown was immaculate, the trees were blooming and the church across the street stunning. Parking was an issue at times due to church services and events at the nearby sports complex, however we parked a block away and with an hour parking freed up. We willl undoubtedly look for this VRBO in the future!

Teresa and her property at 1411 are absolutely the best. The house is a charming shotgun row house whose history shines through. This was our first experience with a VRBO and I would definitely stay there again. Everything was as described. If you're coming into L'ville for the bourbon trail, this property makes a perfect home base. We were in Frankfort, L'ville and Bardstown during our trip and had no issues getting around. Do not overlook this property!

Really nice restored row house in a great area. Easy walk to many restaurants, breweries, and shops. We're bike riders, and its just a short ride to the Big 4 bridge area and trails (cross over to Indiana for a much nicer trail than the Louisville Loop in that area). The bells from the church across the street each morning were great. The laundry was a little hard to find in the basement, but worked out well anyway. We'd definitely stay here again.

I was in town for a short bridge trip between a conference and a family vacation, and stayed in Teresa's home for my own brief getaway. The home is within walking distance of some great bars and restaurants, and just minutes from downtown. It is comfortable, and spacious, and working in the mornings on the porch was the best! Teresa is a fantastic communicator, and I will definitely consider staying here again.

House is in great condition. Everything works, is well stocked. Our hostess even provided tourist info and a few snacks. Very comfortable and clean. We forgot to pack an alarm clock, but, no problem - the church across the street rang its bell every morning starting at 7 AM.

This was the perfect place to stay while attending all the festivities surrounding U of L’s commencement where two of my grand children were earning their masters degrees. It is a charming and well appointed old home in a great neighborhood within walking distance of some critical services like coffee! And while out walking, there was no risk of getting lost – – – I only had to look for the huge twin steeples of Saint Joseph’s church directly across the street. Perfect!

We had the most incredible stay. Teresa is a fanominal and wonderful hostess. From our first exchange she already made us feel excited for our getaway trip to her place. There were fresh flowers awaiting on our table. Delicious snacks and amenities for us in the kitchen. Along with an inviting romantic atmosphere to welcome us in the night we arrived. We are looking forward to coming back to Butchertown and staying at this beautiful gem. The church across the street is very stunning and a historical building. The neighborhood was quiet, peaceful and beautiful to walk down the streets. We cannot wait to go back to have even more time to explore. The interior of this quaint apartment has been redone very tastefully. It's very clean, well-appointed, comfortable, spacious, functional and in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of finishing touches made for a carefree stay. We walked everywhere, across the river to a steamboat museum in Jeffersonville, then back to a distillery tour at Old Forester in downtown Louisville, then ate at the excellent microbrew place down the street. A wonderful day!

We walked thru the front door and were just swept away! The house is so amazingly beautiful, clean, decorated very lovely and felt very comfortable. Teresa even had a sweet vase with flowers and balloon congratulating us on our 30th Wedding Anniversary! Teresa was wonderful with communication and made it known that she was available for whatever we might need. She even let us know when they had fireworks at one of the stadiums in case we were concerned. The walk from the house to majority of what we had planned was great and we always felt very safe. Thank you so very much for opening up your house to us~~it was the best way to celebrate! :0)

This home is beautiful maintained and had everything we needed. It is in a neighborhood that is mixed between houses and industry. The home is right across the street from an old church. Great street parking. The neighborhood is very quiet and we were able to get everywhere we wanted to go without any problems. Great place if you just want to hang out and kick back, but not far from anything you might want to do. Teresa, the host, was outstanding. She provided us with a lot of information and always made herself available if we needed anything. We will definitely be back! Thanks Teresa!
