A true Florida vacation without leaving your back yard! Or from this dead center location in Florida take a day trip to Daytona Beach, Orlando for Attractions and Sports, Tampa Bay/St Petersburg area for Ybor City and Museums or Cape Canaveral and the National Seashore. Within 2-3 miles enjoy numerous shopping, restaurant and entertainment opportunities. Within 5 miles view Seaplanes take off, Renniger's Flea Market, Kids Parks ("Splashing" included), nature walks, lake front picnics and train rides. In 30 minutes or less enjoy fishing, golfing, swimming, trail hiking. We are welcome dogs less than 25 lbs with Dog fee & deposit . Call Owner for approval. Golf at Mission Inn, Swim at Blue Springs, Hike the Florida Trail, Boat Rid on the Dora Canal, Fish the chain of Lakes, Scuba Dive in fresh water Springs, Ride the Train, Climb Mount Dora (184 feet), bike rolling hills, browse for antiques at Rennigers and antique shops.

This place is over the garage of an attached house and has stairs. The owner respected our privacy and let us enjoyed their beautiful yard and dock as if they were not there. They always asked if we needed anything. Very quiet retreat and Mt Dora nearby has alot of shops, resturants and tour boats to enjoy. Just wish the fish were biting more.

Don and Colleen have a beautiful lake lot and we are lucky they share it! They allowed us to sip coffee, float, fish, kayak/row from their dock on beautiful Lake Saunders. Boat traffic was light and nights were quiet. Our trip reminded us of summer lake trips to Northern Wisconsin.

The property was beautiful . The dock and the seatting area on the lake was wonderful. The apt was very nice and comfortable. Well stocked with ever thing we needed. Colleen and Don were great hosts. They know the area well. Location was perfect in between and very close to all the great places to see in the area.

It was a perfect place to unwind while still remaining covid-safety aware! We were there for some much needed R&R, brought our own kayaks and found many places to explore. Dora Canal and Silver Springs were incredible! Husband fished on the lake, and we greatly enjoyed coffee on the dock in the mornings, and wine on the dock at night. We even grilled ourselves a lovely steak dinner there, and the night view and quiet can't be beat for romantic atmosphere. Thank you, Don and Coleen for being the perfect blend of attentive and unobtrusive!
