This was the 3rd year we spent the month of August in the foothills off the smokies, outside Franklin. It was warm by their standards the first few day, but settled quickly down to just plain delightful. Since we are from southern FL, it was wonderful all the time. Sitting on the porch every afternoon is a joy, and with a pretty view.
The house is as advertised and great, but the stairs are starting to slow this 80+ body a bit.
We have rented it for 7 weeks next year!

The house was better than advertised. It is truly a pleasure to be up and looking down on "smoky" mountain landscape. Temperatures in the 70's and low 80's in August is like heaven for those of us from southern Florida.
