Beautiful Mansion in the historic center with panoramic terrace, sea at 50m

The appartments location in Old Town was great, about 7 min walk down to the beach. The appt itself absolutely ok, maybe not so nice decorated but the Terass made the whole thing! The host helpfull and nice. Will recommend it. Enjoy!

We've enjoyed it very much to be in the house of Iacopo for a few days in the beautiful 'centro storico' of Otranto. Out of the high season, now the historical centre was silent and without many tourists. We expect that this will be different during the high season and take in consideration that the beautifull small streets will then be very alive. Now we've enjoyed it with only the local inhabitants, so for us it was very authentic. You can take a nice walk to the harbour and further on along the coast. The coast was very surprising for us. Beautiful spots to visit from rocky beaches to sand beaches. Otranto is the ideal place stay, also when you want to visit f.e. the beautiful cities of S.M di Leuca and Gallipoli. Of these three beautiful places in the South of Puglia we consider Otranto as the most interesting to stay for a few nights, because the town is a bit smaller then the others. The house of Iacopo offers you a good, simple base to stay, with everything you need. It doesn't offer real luxury, consider it a bit dated, but for sure it offers you a nice, spacious kitchen: we love cooking, so this was good. It also offers you plenty of space, since it has three levels and also the roofbalcony was a dream! We've enjoyed our short stay at the house and Otranto very much. Iacopo responds quickly to your questions and gives you all the information you'll ask for. It's rather rare for us to hire a house with homelidays without the supply of sheets and towels, but you can arrange this also with Iacopo, if you'll want this. He was very flexible for us, since we've arrived a bit later in the evening and also when we left and we thank him a lot for this, because for us this was very relaxing.

We went there for a week at the beginning of May. The house as described on the site, very comfortable and clean. A spectacular terrace with a view on the ancient castle, and right in the centre of the village brilliant for restaurants and late drinking 😉 Will go again, thank you.

One of the double bedrooms is not private as the stairs go through it. The twin is small and has no proper window. The kitchen has little equipment. No tea towels. Not enough glasses or mugs. The bathrooms are a bit dilapidated. Restaurant tables immediately outside the front door. Linen costs extra, not much of it. No bedspreads or blankets, just sheets. Hot water good and beds comfortable but we had to move because we needed separate bedrooms. Terrace is great.
