About this villa rental
This relaxing and peaceful villa, with a lovely pool and gallery for enjoying the ocean view and the sound of the waves from the sea below, is the perfect island get-away! This beautiful property is on the east end of St. Croix, and a short walking distance to the sandy beach at Smugglers' Cove. Venture a bit further to the amazing beaches around Point Udall, Cramer Park, Teague Bay, Jack and Isaac’s Bay. Or, if you prefer, the island's only casino is less than a 10 minute drive away.
Some of the best restaurants on St. Croix are nearby, such as Grapetree Bay Hotel terrace for Sunday brunch, or inside for Asian inspired steak and seafood, Duggan's Reef for your lobster, and casual pubs: Castaways, The Deep End Bar and Grill, and Ziggy's (a favorite local restaurant, gas station, and convenience store). New places open up frequently on the island, so check out the latest guides for more in Christiansted and Fredericksted.
The property is only 15 minutes' drive from Downtown Christiansted historic district, the fort, and boat excursions. The airport is 25 minutes away.
A car is recommended for eating out, site-seeing, and exploring all that St. Croix has to offer! You may just want to relax at home by your beautiful private pool during the day, or under the bright stars at night.
From the pool there is a discreet outdoor shower and entrance to the Master suite. The private Master suite has a King-sized bed, and connects directly with the sitting room, which overlooks the sea. The Master bathroom, adjacent to the sitting room, has a walk in closet and an open shower with a one-way glass for an ocean view. The sitting room has a comfortable day-bed for an extra guest if needed, a TV, and a PS game system.
The other two bedrooms are on the other end of the house - each with a comfortable Queen-sized bed. The larger of these bedrooms has an incredible sea view and a sliding glass door leading out to the patio and hammock.
The living room has a TV you can use for streaming, or DVD/Blu-ray player with a large DVD collection for nightly movies and a sound system for your use during your stay. Open all of the sliding glass doors during the day to let in the cool Caribbean breeze!
The kitchen has everything you need from dishwater, appliances, cookware, and bakeware. Spices and condiments are plentiful, but do vary with guests. There is a coffee pot with filters, or a Keurig if you prefer.
The outside patio with dining area is where you will probably spend much of your time relaxing. The view and the gentle sound of the waves draw you in. There is formal seating for six. There is also a poolside bar table and chairs for snacks by the pool.
All of the rooms have AC if you need it on those hot humid days, and the whole house is powered by solar panels making it Eco-friendly. There is a generator to use for those infrequent power outages.

Kathleen was the most excellent, communicating host from throughout the entire renting process! We had to call her once during our stay for an issue, which she handled promptly. The location of the house, pool, views are most excellent. Appreciated having a fully stocked kitchen to prepare food. Geeat place to explore from, come back, and unwind. Or just stay and relax! If we come back to the island, I hope Kat's Seachange is still available.

What a fantastic location and home for my 77- year old aunt to enjoy her first trip to the Caribbean! The home is wonderfully situated on the quiet East End and we can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed the deck and pool. Sunrises followed by an early swim, then breakfast on the deck before heading out to enjoy the beaches and sights. Then back home for naps in the hammock or poolside, dinner and chatting into the night. Plenty of shade for us and nice breezes. It’s not far from several beautiful beaches. Our favorites were Southgate Coastal Reserve and Isaac’s beach (we did the small hike to from Pt. Udall) where we also caught a lovely sunset on our return from the point. Smuggler’s Cove, though smaller from a walking perspective, was just below and also great. I wouldn’t miss the unique kayak on the Salt River bioluminescent bay, or sailing to Buck Island with Captain Karl on the Tesoro. We also enjoyed an unexpected Music Monday at Ziggy’s market. Our host Kat was extremely responsive, the rooms were clean and comfortable with lovely touches from foreign travels. The kitchen was well appointed for us to cook. We’d definitely return should there be future trips to St. Croix!

The house was exactly as advertised. We so enjoyed having morning coffee and evening drinks on the "verandah" with the beautiful views of the ocean. There was plenty of cooking equipment although we ate out most of the time. We did have an issue finding the house the first night!

Property has 2 bathrooms, not 3 as advertised. We were advised of this 5 days before our trip. The third bath cannot be used and has been out of order since "last season", per manager.
Pool was filthy - we did not use it.
View of ocean from house is obscured by foliage that has not been trimmed in years. Should have been a highlight.
House was neat and clean but shabby overall. General sense of decay. We doubt owners have been there in years. If they have, they should spend a few bucks - it wouldn't take much to make a dramatic improvement.
And change the listing to 3/2 until the bath is fixed.
