About this house rental
This beautiful and spacious old stone house is ideal for two or three families or a group of friends to enjoy a quiet holiday. Sleeps up to 17 people: 5 double and 2 twin bedrooms and 3 mattresses on the floor if you need them. We can often be flexible about minimum stays and check-in / check-out times - just send us a message to ask.
Please be aware that the Junas village festival takes place for three days in early July - lots of fun but VERY noisy. Check with us before booking around these dates.
The house has high ceilings throughout, downstairs there is a newly fitted modern kitchen equipped with fridge-freezer, oven, induction hob, dishwasher and microwave. The huge 36m2 living-room has a massive fireplace, sofas and chairs, a big extending dining table which seats 12-14 people.
Sliding doors open onto the terrace and large courtyard garden.
On the ground floor, there is a separate dining room, and a large formal double bedroom with large ensuite bathroom (with washing machine and tumble dryer). There is an additional shower room downstairs.
An grand stone staircase leads upstairs to four further stone-floored double bedrooms, all with views over the red-tiled rooftops of Junas. Two have their own balconies. There is one twin-bedded room and one further room (off one of the double rooms) with two bunk-beds - ideal for children. The main bathroom with walk-in shower is accessible by all rooms. Cots and child beds are available - just let us know.
There is a table-tennis table in one of the outbuildings (please don't go into the others).
The house was built in 1850 and belonged to one of Junas' oldest families and has been extensively restored and renovated in the recent years. Built in stone, the stone house stays cool in the hot summer months; if you visit during colder weather there is central heating throughout and you can have a fire in the huge fireplace in the main sitting room.
