About this house rental
The Beach House is a spacious and charming Victorian house over looking Crooklets Beach. It also has many other beautiful beaches and cliff walks nearby. The house is close to the small coastal town of Bude and within walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants. Bude's excellent 18 hole links course is a stones throw from the house.
We hire out surfboards, please enquire when booking.
The Beach House is home from home and superbly equipped to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. There is free Wi Fi, HD flat screen TV, DVD player (with a selection of children's dvds) & stereo. There is a separate games room with table tennis and extra toys and games for children. There is a BBQ and outdoor seating, at both the front and the enclosed private courtyard at the rear of the property. This house offers 3 large double bedrooms with 1 en-suite master bedroom and 3 twin rooms, all with wash basins. The living area offers a comfortable lounge with wood burner, which leads into a dining room with a large dining table. Bude is a small town with lots to offer and the delights of Devon and Cornwall are both accessible. This is a great house for a get together whether its summer or winter.
If you wish to book a meal at a restaurant for a special occasion, please do so in advance!

20% discount on 7 night stays.

A wonderful property, just perfect for our entire family of 7 adults, 3 kids and a dog. Perfect location almost on the beachfront and a small walk from the main town. Great facilities and comfy spaces. Will absolutely be coming back!

The house was ideal four our group of 7. Clean, spacious and well equipped. It is close to Beaches and great walks, we all had a fantastic time.

We loved staying at the Beach House. Clear directions and helpful communication throughout our stay. Problems were few and were dealt with promptly. Spotlessly clean property. Rooms were of a good size and furnishings were of a good quality. We were a party of 2 adults, 6 children and 2 dogs and it was just the right size. I would expect that it would be somewhat crowded in the downstairs areas if you were to have many more than that, especially in the sitting room. The bathrooms are only 1 en-suite and 1 family bathroom which did cause somewhat of a backlog with the amount of teenage girls all wanting post-beach showers. The beds were comfortable and the location was lovely and peaceful at night. The kitchen was well equipped. The location was great - a very short stroll to a lovely beach - perfect for body-boarding/surfing. We were made to feel welcome by the town. The cafes opposite were extremely handy for lunches on the beach and we had some good food there. Our vegan member was thrilled by so many options for her! Negatives are few. 1. The view is somewhat marred by the rather ugly surf life-saving club building and the cafes aren't the prettiest either. Still it was very nice sitting outside the front on the table (only seats 8 max).2. The road directly outside the property is in a terrible state of repair. The side wall of our Sharan tyre was damaged by the large gullys. It looks like winter weather has left it's mark on the steep hill and driving on a low-slung car would be ill-advised. A gentleman on a mobility scooter tried to come down the hill and very nearly came off in front of us. Luckily he could still walk but he couldn't make it down the hill on the scooter.
