Ca'n Turicano In Porto Petro With Private Pool, Lovely Garden, Wi-Fi. (VT/0184.)

Positives: Great location close to the town, but in a fairly private location. Communication with host excellent prior to trip and happy for us to check into the villa earlier Villa has all that you need Negatives The pool had a hole in It which meant that twice a day the owner arrived to turn a hose on and off to keep it topped up, our issues with that which may not be a problem for everyone is that we like quiet uninterrupted time, and although the host did not stop and talk, we just felt that it was intrusive. But what was frustrating is we should have been told about the issue ahead of the trip and what that would mean, hence the lower scoring for communication. Also like others have mentioned the villa could do with some updating and was a bit worse for wear than the photos. The photos could do with updating as well as there is no longer a children’s play area, but more a wasteland where they may be building, we don’t have children, but if the play area is something that as a parent you’d see as a bonus it is not there

Pedro is a great host. The villa had everything we needed. Pool was lovely and having 3 showers was great. Easy access to all local beaches and coves. El Baul restaurant (2min walk away) is a must visit and very close Thanks you again Pedro, we hope to return !

Ca'n Turricano was exactly what we'd hoped for. We were three couples with a 1 1/2 year old and the house was perfect as a base for the week, both for its location and for lazing about by the pool. Pedro stopped by a few times during the week to check in and deliver fresh towels or add extra time onto the air con (9pm to 5am was standard but we added extra hours for €2 p/hr p/day as the mid-July heat was hard to put a baby to sleep in!). It's a 10 minute walk to Portopetro which has several great restaurants, a well appointed shop/deli, a handful of tourist/clothing shops, and also to a small beach perfect for swimming and snorkeling. FYI: The nearby Ikos resort does not allow day passes for the spa. The location was quiet with plenty of street parking. The construction site next door was no problem at all as whatever work was being done was happening too far away to hear. Our highlights of the trip were the market at Santanyí, exploring some of the small coves around the island, and cooking fresh fish on the charcoal BBQ at the villa.

Very clean simple house, however quite old in substance. Very friendly host, Pedro. Unfortunately no provision of simple basics such as shower gel, waste bags, olive oil, pepper or sugar.
