The Lake is Our Pool ♡ Frontlake Villa & Park / Sleeps 12 +1 Baby / Pet Friendly

One of the three bathrooms was not fully funcational. We experienced ants in the kitchen and in bedrooms. Door fell off one of the closets in the bedroom. Grounds were constantly being worked on during our stay - this should have been completed before our arrival. Wi-Fi constantly dropped connection. Host was very responsive in the beginning but not during the whole stay

I have just spent a week at Villa Angela with three generations of my family. The property has a rustic look and feel, well appointed and has lakeside access that enabled safe swimming directly from garden. It was a 15 min walk into town and approx 10 minute walk to the nearest supermarket. It has very spacious bed rooms and was ideal for our party of two couples and two single adults. Although it certainly could accommodate more. Irene is an excellent host, communicating well in advance of our visit and, if required during our stay. We arrived quite slightly earlier than the check in time but Irene made every effort to have the property available as soon as we arrived. The only downside, was this property is located on quite a busy road so not so good for those who are sensitive to traffic noise. Saying that, as Villa Angela has been in Irene’s family for four generations I suspect the house was there before the road was and the proximity to the lake and fantastic views certainly outweighs the road noise.

This was a fantastic place for our family trip (3 generations) . Beautiful villa with just the right stylish, Italian atmosphere. Irene was a perfect host - we got help with everything we asked about and more! We highly recommend this place.

In summary a wonderful stay at a truly beautiful property. The villa's position is magnificent with the garden running down to the lake. Everything was exactly as described - clean and efficient. Irene was a fine host - her communications were perfect and she was waiting outside as promised when we arrived. The walk into Salo takes about 5 to 10 minutes - lots of restaurants, shops and a ferry stop. Grazie mille Irene.

It is within easy walking distance of Salo, which has lots of restaurants and shops.The inside of the house is sympathetically furnished to the period, and has a shabby chic feel through out. Some rentals can feel very crammed in, but this has a fantastic open feel and virtually every room has a magnificent view of the lake, which is very easily accessed at the bottom of the garden.We had gone with plans to visit many places, but the house was so beautiful that we stayed there for the majority of the week.Irene the owner is very helpful, and welcomes you all into her home.I would say the only negative for us was that whilst there was WIFI it was only good in a few spots in the house, and we were travelling with 3 teenagers. But from the adults point of view it was bliss.Id certainly go there again - just leave the teenagers at home next time!

Sympathetically furnished with original pieces the villa faces the lake with stunning views from the stone balconies and terraces. The large garden borders directly onto lake Garda allowing you to swim in your very own stretch of Italian lake. Our stay at Villa Angela was perfect. She was friendly and helpful, offering to book us boat trips, etc. Irene's English is excellent. There is secure off road parking for a large car and additional free parking in spaces on the road. Das Ferienhaus am Stadtrand von Salo ist wirklich toll und hat einen riesigen Garten mit verschließbarem Gartentor direkt zum See. Das war fantastisch für uns als Familie mit unserem Enkel (Kleinkind). Es ist zwar eher einfach möbiliert, aber dafür umso familienfreundlicher. Es verfügt über sehr viel Wohnraum und großzügige Zimmer. Die 3 Bäder sind allesamt neu renoviert. Auch die Terrassen vor dem Haus sind großzügig bemessen. Wir hatten jeden Tag Sonnenschein und konnten draussen Frühstücken und grillen. Aber auch das Esszimmer neben der Küche hätte genügend Platz für alle 6 Erwachsenen und unserem Klaeinkind geboten. Irene ist eine sehr freundliche Vermieterin, bei der man sich wirklich zuhause fühlen kann. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten im Supermarkt gibt es ca. 750m Richtung Gardone und weitere Geschäfte ca. 1km in der anderen Richtung Salo. Wir haben unseren Familienurlaub sehr genossen und werden definitiv wiederkommen.

I heard about Villa Angela from a couple of friends who stayed there last summer with their kids. The pictures they showed us were amazing and we were so jealous of their holiday. They made friends with Irene, the owner, and when we met her, my wife and I decided to book together with them. I can't say but the place is immensely beautiful, pictures can't describe it! We were so lucky, the weather blessed us with the best of Spring and everything was just really beautiful everywhere you looked. We were two young couples with two kids each. Ours (1 and 2 yrs old) especially loved playing with the flowers in the garden. The house is thoroughly equipped for kids, has a whole room for the baby crib and is packed with toys. Having direct access from the garden to the lake (which I understand is pretty unique in the area) was truly amazing! We brought an inflatable kayak and went for long strolls in the morning. We are grateful to Irene for having us at her beautiful place. We found in her the best host, had the perfect family holiday, in total privacy and relax. As you know, it was for us a very special time: we stayed with you right after our wedding, and it was a really blessed choice. After all the confusion and the stress of the months before the ceremony we were finally in a great, vast house, all for us. We plunged into its ancient atmosphere, full of serenity and charm. I shall also mention we truly appreciated your discreet but careful availability; thanks again for the directions and the tips you provided us with, in regard to the many attractions of the area -including the beautiful hinterland. What we especially enjoyed was your garden on lake shore: every glance, looking out to the balcony, seeing the gulls and the ducks passing by: wherever you look at, the landscape is so heartening! You asked for advice on how to improve your guests'experience, and this also shows your true concern. I wouldn't know what to say, except maybe this: wouldn't you plant some aromatic herbs in the garden? To use them for cooking, but also because I love their perfume. When we booked our stay we were a little daring: we have little kids, had never come to the Garda lake before, but also never rented an entire property like this. I am so glad we chose Villa Angela over an hotel! The place is even more delightful than in picture, the rooms are so spacious, furniture is simple, antique, solid. We found everything spick&span. The owner, Irene, rents her place for the first year. She provided us with all the information we needed, keeping in touch with a Whatsapp group before we arrived (she replied to all our texts within minutes!), and helping us organise (lazy) family trips when we were in Salò, with useful hints and tips. Thank you Irene! Our two little daughters (4 and 3 years old) loved to play in the garden (and sometimes with Irene, who, trying to be a gardener, proved instead to be an excellent baby sitter...). We had an amazingly relaxing week, time seems to stop at Villa Angela. It doesn't seem like it was only a week. We are definitely gonna come back next year, hopefully together with my best friend's family!

Villa Angela is a romantic accommodation in Salò, in front of the lake, with a lovely big garden where my son could fish and all we could swim; I really think that it's not easy to find a home so, where I invited all my family. The house is furnished with period furniture, with a modernly equipped kitchen; all was very clean and pleasant. I really suggest it to the families, even for the proximity to many beautiful places. I have just returned from a fantastic holiday with my wife and 2 daughters. We stayed at Villa Angela for 8 nights and were completely blown away with the property. Irene, the owner, stayed in a separate part of the villa for part of our stay and was very helpful in answering our questions and gave us some great ideas for days out. The property itself is magical and the location right on Lake Garda simply cannot be beaten. We enjoyed breakfasts in the garden and evening barbecues on the massive terrace overlooking the lake. The beautiful town of Salo is a 10-15 minute gentle stroll away and has an array of shops and restaurants that line the very scenic promenade (Lunga Lago) which is the longest one on Lake Garda. We hired a car for the duration of our stay and arranged this before flying out from the UK. The drive from Verona airport was approx 45mins on the A4 Autostrada to Salo which cost just under 5 Euros. There is ample parking directly outside the villa and I would definitely recommend hiring a car to see as much as possible of this picturesque region. Besides Salo which we loved, other places that we visited and would recommend are; Limone, Sirmione and Malcesine. We will definitely be returning again and would like to thank Irene for making our stay absolutely perfect.

Perfekt ab der Minute der Ankunft. Irene hat uns an der Tür empfangen und eine schnelle Führung gegeben. Alles war sauber, liebevoll eingerichtet und überwältigend. Die Aussicht und der private Zugang zum See sind sicherlich Highlights des Urlaubs gewesen. Wir kommen wieder!!

Perfekte Lage besonders für Familien! Wunderschön alte Villa und Irene hat sich perfekt um uns gekümmert und war jederzeit behilflich bzgl. Restaurantempfehlungen etc.

Unsere Gastgeberin war sehr nett, und die Schlüsselübergabe und die Kommunikation vor Ort war sehr gut. Alles war sauber und ordentlich. Aber es ist nicht in Ordnung, wenn man am Tag der Ankunft erfährt, dass es zwar 3 Bäder gibt, aber in dem einen weder das Duschen noch das Baden möglich ist. Die Wasserhähne der eingebauten Badewanne waren abmontiert. Der Schaden soll wohl demnächst behoben werden. So etwas muss im Vorfeld kommuniziert werden. Wir waren 11 Personen und haben deshalb bewusst nach einer Unterkunft mit 3 Bädern gesucht. Dadurch, dass jetzt nur 2 Duschmöglichkeiten gab, war der Aufenthalt etwas kompliziert. Dass man zu dem einen Bad nur über die Außentreppe kam, war zwar etwas nervig, aber durchaus handlebar. Was sehr gestört hat: Die Türen der einzelnen Zimmer ließen sich nicht schließen. Man konnte sie quasi nur anlehnen und jeder, der vorbei lief, konnte ins Zimmer schauen. Das war unangenehm, weil dadurch innerhalb der Zimmer nicht wirklich eine Privatsphäre möglich war. Die Terrassen-Loungemöbel, die auf den Bildern zu sehen sind, waren leider nicht vorhanden. Das war schade. Das Grundstück und die Lage selbst sind ein Traum. Die große Treppe führt auf eine große Rasenfläche und zu einem schönen Sitzplatz direkt am See. Man hat auch einen privaten Zugang zum See, herrlich. Es hat allerdings gestört, dass unsere Gastgeberin und noch eine Frau öfter im Garten und/oder auf der Terrasse auftauchten. Dadurch fühlten wir uns beobachtet. Wir waren davon ausgegangen, dass wir ein ganzes Haus mit Garten mieten, das in der von uns gebuchten Zeit auch NUR UNS ALLEINE zur Verfügung steht. Aber so etwas muss man wohl vorher erst abklären.

möchten sie einmal einen Urlaub mit der gesamten Familie (max. 10 Personen) machen , oder aber auch mit Freunden, dann finden sie hier die passende Unterkunft in einer schönen und interessanten Umgebung. Langeweile kommt nicht auf.

We were a group of two families and had a wonderful week at Villa Angela. Irene is a very warm-hearted and helpful host. The location of the house is incomparable - to open the door of the garden and hop into the lake gave us the opportunity to leave our cars almost untouched. Only one thing to improve is the equipment of the kitchen - we needed larger pots to feed our little hoard of hungry teenagers :-). Thanks Irene! Hope to see you again soon!

Es war alles vorhanden, was für einen feinen Urlaub notwendig ist

Aufgrund von Corona konnten wir unseren Urlaub leider nicht antreten. Unsere Gastgeberin ist trotz der großen Schwierigkeiten jederzeit positiv gestimmt. Wir werden im Oktober (hoffentlich) wieder an den Gardasee fahren können. Wir wünschen allen viel Kraft und Gesundheit. Thomas

Tolles großes Haus für Freunde oder große Familie ideal. Ein angegebenes Badzimmer befindet sich nicht direkt mit im Haus sondern ist nur von außen zu erreichen. Wir würden es auf jeden Fall nochmal buchen und können es nur empfehlen.

Wir haben mit 3 Generationen ( 9 Personen) eine wundervolle Woche in der Villa Angela verbracht. Die Lage ist einfach unbeschreiblich schön und wir haben das Anwesen nur für Spaziergänge nach Salo verlassen. Die großzügigen Zimmer - alle mit herrlichem Ausblick , die Terrasse mit großem Esstisch und Grill und der weitläufige Garten mit Seezugang - alles war perfekt und führte dazu, dass wir uns alle unglaublich wohl gefühlt haben. Während der kompletten Woche war Irene für uns jederzeit erreichbar. Übernahme und Übergabe waren völlig problemlos. Ein großes Dankeschön an Irene.

Sagenhafte Villa mit riesigem Grundstück und eigenem Seezugang. Wo hat man das sonst am Gardasee. Hinzu kamen die perfekte Sauberkeit, die Freundlichkeit und Gelassenheit der Vermieterin Irene und die Enkelkinder haben sich besonders über die fast unübersehbar vielen Kinderspielsachen inkl. einer riesigen aufblasbaren Insel gefreut. Ein rundum gelungener Familien-Urlaub!

Wonderfully located at the lake front, at 800m from Salo centre only. House with lots of character and stunning lake view from terraces and garden. The adjacent SS45bis may be a bit noisy, but is not really disturbing, on the contrary, it allows you to move around quickly (traffic permitted). The kitchen is rather smallish, but is guarantee for pleasant bustle. Comfortable bedrooms equipped with fans. Welcoming and helpful landlady.

Vom 14.10.2018 bis 21.10.2018 verbrachte unsere Familie - drei Generationen - eine wundervolle Woche in der Villa Angela am Gardasee. Unsere Erwartungen wurden nicht enttäuscht - Irenes "Villa Angela" ist wunderbar! Wir genossen das schöne Wetter auf der großzügigen Terrasse und den direkten Zugang zum Gardasee. Dank des schönen Wetters konnten wir jeden Tag baden gehen, auf den Liegestühlen den Blick über den Gardasee schweifen und die Seele baumeln lassen. Das Grundstück ist ein bisschen wie im Paradies :-) - für alle Generationen! Irene hat den Garten und die Terrasse so liebevoll angelegt, dass man auch durchaus den ganzen Tag hätte dort verbringen können. Auch in der Villa fehlte es an nichts und die Schlafzimmer verfügen sogar über einen Balkon, so dass man auch vor dem Schlafengehen nochmals das Lichtermeer der Städtchen am Gardasee genießen konnte. Vielen Dank, liebe Irene, für diesen einmaligen Urlaub! Alles ist wärmstens zu empfehlen und wir werden uns diesen wundervollen Platz als Geheimtipp vormerken. Viele liebe Grüße!
