The host welcomed us to the property, and provided us with a variety of complimentary items, including a wonderful homemade jam. The property has 2 lovely bedrooms both with there own bathrooms. The kitchen was very modern and appliances were state of the art. The lounge/dinning area was a delight with a variety of different furniture and art. The private drive with gates meant you felt extremely safe. The location of the property was epic, close enough to places to visit, but remote enough to escape and unwind. The best bit of this property was the outside space, the garden was stunning and so well maintained. The highlight was the hot tub that was not over looked and you could spend hours watching the world go by. We loved our time here, and have already recommended it to our friends and family. A massive thank you to our wonderful hosts.

There was quite a lot of noise from the quarry behind the property during the day.Arzano itself is very quiet but the surrounding areas are pretty and there are some excellent beaches not too far away. Quimperle has some interesting buildings, walks along the river and is lively on Market day but still has plenty of places to park and eat.

We loved this house ! It was our first visit in Brittany and we are not disappointed at all! Arzano, the village where's the house is close to wherever you will want to visit there...if you are not keep by the house and his spa. The spa is amazing, in the middle of the flowers in the backyard. Bernadette, the owner, gave us some spa robes! Very relaxing! The backyard is huge, you can smell the flowers, have some fruits... Inside, you have very nice decoration, a big tv screen, and the bedroom is very calm. The kitchen is full, and Bernadette prepared us some food for the fist day! Thank you ! We will come back for sure!!

Beautiful house for a (reasonably) quiet stay

The house is spacious and light, with lots of living space and the outdoor deck leading to the beautiful garden. I never tired of watching the light play on the two stands of bamboo. The house is full of original art- and craft-work, and we kept finding little extra treasures throughout the week. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and we managed to have most of our meals outside (in mid-July). Beds were comfortable although the duvets were too hot for us so we ended up sleeping under sheets only. You can walk into the village on the flat in 15 minutes (although it is not a particularly inspiring walk). There are two baker's shops in the village; we thought the further one had more choice and it does a range of groceries. But we most enjoyed going to the relatively new village co-op shop across the road, which offers a range of local meat, dairy, fruit and vegetables, as well as some standard grocery items, and is completely staffed by local volunteers. There is a new Super U supermarket on the Lorient side of Pont-Scorff (about 10 minutes drive) that has everything else you might need, including fuel. There is not much to see in Arzano itself, apart from the church (currently being restored) and the donkey sanctuary. However, it is a good base for exploring the area; we went to lots of local towns with historic centres and half-timbered buildings, as well as the world-famous stone alignments at Carnac, all within one hour's drive. The local tourist offices were unfailingly helpful and provided lots of useful information. The owners responded promptly to any questions before our arrival and were reassuring about the couple of minor problems that cropped up during our stay. You must be reasonably confident in your French, however, as they have absolutely no English.

An impressive property with a beautiful fragrant garden

Bernadette is very welcoming and has made the house comfortable and well equipped. The house is very conveniently located for visits to the cities of Quimper and Lorient and for access to the sandy beaches near Erdeven. We also went to Pont Aven for the galleries and to Quiberon to find some sunshine as it was quite wet during our stay, but that was only about an hour's drive. There are plenty of walks/bike rides in the countryside around the house and of course the hot tub to relax in so there is no need to travel far. Inside the house is well laid out with bedrooms and bathrooms at each end and a large, central living area that leads out onto a terrace with the spa and barbecue. There are many roses planted around the terrace, which were all in bloom during our stay. As others have mentioned, the owners have an extensive collection of art, paintings, glass sculptures and ceramics etc., so it would not be suitable for young children. We certainly enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to our friends and relatives. Apart from some rainy days, we were able to relax and enjoy the perfume from the roses and eat fresh strawberries from the kitchen garden. Those staying later in the year will have fresh vegetables to look forward to as well!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The property was spacious, bright, airy, clean, tidy and very well equipped. It had the feeling of a loved and cared for home and the furnishings and objects d'art added to the personal feel. All in all an extremely comfortable house to holiday in. To have access to a lovely garden as well was the icing on the cake. The location is very rural so it is quiet, peaceful and very restful. A 15 minute stroll gets you to the village where there are 2 bakeries. 20 minutes drive gets you to Quimperle with its shops, supermarkets etc. We found it a good base to explore the area and were appreciative of being able to escape the tourist hordes at the end of the day. Bernadette and Gerard were very friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough to make our stay as good as possible. The supper made by Bernadette was very well received by us after a long journey. We would have no hesitation in recommending the property to others. Probably not best suited to families with young children because of the precious ornaments or to those seeking busy activity on the doorstep.

We stayed at this lovely, lovely house for almost two weeks and enjoyed every minute of our time there. The house itself is beautifully designed and decorated. The paintings are splendid, truly fine and the object d'art are also wonderful, particularly the art glass. The kitchen was well equipped and very easy to use (we cooked half our meals at home. In addition, the house is beautifully landscaped with gorgeous flowers and a garden from which we were able to gather lettuce for salads and raspberries for snacking. The owner, Bernadette, was charming and tremendously helpful. She had prepared a dinner meal for us (we arrived late) and also left us food for breakfast the next morning, so that we didn't have to rush out to do grocery shopping. She has a daughter in the USA, who called us before we left for Brittany and gave us valuable information about the house and the surrounding area. What was particularly nice about the house was that it was both in the country where one could take lovely walks and at the same time within driving distance to all the attractions that southern Brittany has to offer. This is a wonderful rental for one or two couples; it is not suitable for a family with young children as there are breakable objects throughout. Bernadette speaks only French, but for anglophones with some French, the is an ideal destination!

Nous avons loué cette maison superbe et atypique au vu des critiques et nous n'avons pas été déçus ! Maison ultra-moderne, grandes baies vitrées. Des livres, des objets d'art, une cheminée spectaculaire et un jardin magnifique ! La clim et le jacuzzi ont été appréciés par cette chaleur étouffante ! Juni 2022 Wir, 3 Erwachsene, verbrachten 2 sehr schöne Wochen in Arzano. Wir wurden von sehr freundlichen und lieben Gastgebern begrüßt. Bernadette hat für unser Ankunftsabend wie auch für Sonntag morgen Köstlichkeiten vorbereitet wie auch Kaffee, Butter, Milch, Baguette und bretonische Spezialitäten eingekauft, womit sie uns eine grosse Freude gemacht hat . Bernadette brachte eine Freundin mit, die so freundlich war für uns zu übersetzen da wir leider kein französisch sprechen . Das Haus und der grosse Garten sind ein Traum. Fabelhaft ausgestattet mit hochwertigen Geräten wie auch sehr vielen Utensilien. Auch Handtücher und Badetücher waren in grosser Zahl uns zu Verfügung gestellt worden. Toller Whirpool in freien . Wir sagen noch mal merci und empfehlen das Ferienhaus weiter. Ahmet

Maison conforme au descriptif. Très agréable, propre. Le jardin est d'une beauté. Profiter du spa sur la terrasse en dessous les bananiers est un dépaysement. Il y a tout le nécessaire pour se sentir bien. Les promenades du soir sont très agréables car très peu de voitures passent sur la route. La cueillette des mûres.... On s est régalés ! Et l'accueil de Bernadette juste formidable. D'une gentillesse extra, et nous avons été accueillis avec de quoi passer la soirée et le petit déjeuner en nous regalant, c'est d'ailleurs la première fois que je vois un propriétaire qui prend soin de laisser autant de petites intentions à ses invités. Cidre, pain, brioche, gâteau breton, pâté, lait, eau, fromage, olala c'était bon ! Et à la moindre petite question, Bernadette à toujours été très réactive dans ses réponses 😊 Je recommande vivement !! Merci à Bernadette et son mari, ce fut un super séjour.

- sehr nette Gastgeber, sehr unkompliziert - das Haus ist wunderbar eingerichtet, viel tolle Kunst - es ist alles da, was man braucht in Küche und Bad, nichts ist einzukaufen - es ist ruhig und sehr erholsam - sehr schöne Terrasse (mit Weber Gas-Grill) und toller Garten - leider ist im Ort so gut wie nichts außer eine Boulangerie und eine Apotheke sowie ein Mini-Geschäft, man muss daher immer mind. 15 Minuten fahren (nach Quimperle), auch wenn man nur nett einen Kaffee trinken will

Ein einmaliges Haus mit Glasfront zur Terrasse über die ganze Länge. Beeindruckt hat uns der Whirlpool unter den Bananenstauden. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Alles ist sehr ordentlich und hochwertig, bis hin zu den Handtüchern. Wir würden auf jeden Fall gerne wieder kommen.

Wir verbrachten eine wunderbare Woche in Arzano. Wir wurden herzlich von Bernadette empfangen und mit feinen Speisen für das Nachtessen und das Frühstück verwöhnt. Das Haus und der tolle Garten bieten viel Komfort und die Möglichkeit für Erholung und Entspannung. Jegliche Haushaltgeräte sind vorhanden und für Annehmlichkeiten sorgen nebst dem Jacuzzi auch die Klimaanlage im Haus. Für die jüngere Generation ist Netflix vorhanden. Wir haben es geschätzt, dass wir unseren Hund in diesem schön eingerichteten Haus dabei haben konnten. Wir werden dieses Ferienhaus sehr gerne wieder mieten und können es nur empfehlen.

Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen von Bernadette und es wurde uns alles erklärt. Super war auch, dass das Nachtessen und das Frühstück schon im Kühlschrank stand. Das Haus ist sehr schön und ruhig gelegen. Leider konnten wir den Garten nicht gross nutzen, da das Wetter nicht gut war. Der Whirlpool war super und wir haben ihn rege genutzt. Palmen, Bambus und Bananen - wenn man nicht weiß, dass man in der Bretagne ist, könnte man denken, man sei in den Subtropen. Ein tolles Haus inmitten eines großen parkähnlichen Gartens in absoluter Ruhe. Netter Empfang durch Bernadette und Gérard, die uns mit einem leckeren Abendessen überrascht haben. Das Haus bietet alles, was man braucht, incl. der Bademäntel für den Whirlpool. Es liegt allerdings sehr abgelegen, ein Auto ist deshalb immer erforderlich, um z. B. ein Restaurant zu finden. Sonst hätte es für die Lage auch fünf Sterne gegeben. Nochmals vielen Dank an Bernadette und Gérard, wir vier haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt.

Excellent accueil personnalisé par Bernadette qui nous attend avec des produits locaux, le souper et le petit dej. Maison de qualité où rien ne manque avec spa pour se détendre, sans vis-à-vis. Belle maison dans un très beau jardin clôturé disposant d'un spa pour se prélasser en fin de journée, sans oublier la climatisation qui est un plus! Tout était à notre disposition et nous n'avons manqué de rien...une adresse à retenir!!!

Nous avons passé une semaine formidable dans cette maison. Les propriétaires sont charmants et très accueillants (bonus : le repas du premier soir est compris ce qui est très agréable en arrivant). Maison très propre, beaucoup d’ustensiles dans la cuisine et dans la salle de bain (peignoirs fournis) . Quel bonheur de se détendre en d'après midi dans le jacuzzi avec vue sur le très beau jardin (sans aucun vis à vis) Nous reviendrons avec plaisir (un peu difficile d'en partir.....)
