Only 2 minutes from the Michelin starred restaurants of Carovigno and 10 minutes from the ‘white city’ Ostuni, yet with no immediate neighbours, this beautiful house offers total seclusion and serenity. Chic modern, designer, interiors and luxurious furnishings blend perfectly with a traditional Puglian Masseria stone country house structure, suspended hundreds of years in time. With every room opening up onto established, well groomed, gardens and olive groves, and, of course, an enormous, heated, entirely private, 10m x 4m swimming pool, this truly is the Puglia destination property for those for whom only the very best will do.

The Mezzogiorno's original golf course, founded in 1968 near the small beach resort of Castellaneta, set in scented coastal pine forest that offers welcome shade and shelter from the prevailing wind. Par 72 5947m.
4) Metaponto Golf Club. Location: Metaponto.
Only ten minutes apart, Metaponto and Riva dei Tessali are jointly owned. Metaponto is a longer and more open course set in an orange plantation. Par 72 6284m

We had a very lovely holiday in Carovigno. The villa is situated in a good area to explore places like Ostuni, Alberello and Lecce. The local town is very nice and has a lot of options for eating and the local beaches are great for children. You definitely need a car. It's a very long walk into town and there is nowhere to walk to. Nikola the agent was very accommodating in every way and very helpful with recommendations/helping with any questions we had. She was brilliant. The villa was nice and clean and the children enjoyed the pool. It worked well with 2 families of 4. The beds were ok for a week, but get the impression everything was 'ikea' so slightly lacked the luxury feel that we like on holiday. We had a few issues with internet connection and electricity which was a bit frustrating- but we were told that's pretty usual of the area. We also felt like some improvements could be made to make the villa The rooftop was very basic with nothing to make it comfortable and the outdoor area needs a bit of attention. Lots of tiles missing from the pool and the lighting wasn't working, so we couldn't really enjoy the area at night. We also didn't have any umbrellas until part way through the week. That being said, we had a lovely holiday and will have fond memories to look back on. Just another note- Whilst there we there we went to a local winery called l'essenze de Puglia for a wine tasting session. It's about a 6 min drive and was amazing!

We stayed at this wonderful property for 7 nights in August and had the most fantastic week. Nestled away in an olive tree, we felt completely at peace there with no noise from any passing roads or neighbours, it was bliss.A very short drive into the town which has a few big supermarkets but more importantly some lovely independent butchers and fruit and veg shops as well as some superb coffee shops for a perfect cappuccino and pastry for breakfast.The pool is a great size and the same depth the full length which is great for the kids to play in.The bedrooms are all generously sized and all have air con which is definitely needed in the summer. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment too.Th dining and living area is also very large and has air con. The 2 outdoor dining areas were lovely to sit around and eat and we loved the roof top seating space where we watched the sunset with a drink and games.Nykola the host was fantastic!! The best communication and so helpful with anything we need. Cannot recommend this place any higher!!

The property was a little differently spaced out than I thought on the outside from photos, but this was ok, modern facilities but dishwasher was a bit aged and the iron could work better. Great location for discovering the area and near lovely town of Caravigno. Nikola was particularly helpful and kind providing us with great restaurant recommendations and other local needs.thank you Nykola

We have had not just one, but two, fantastic holidays at this beautiful property this year. The first was in the summer, with our children (who absolutely loved it!), and the second was when we managed to sneak down again, this time with friends, in late October, when the heated pool was a real bonus.The photographs simply don’t do justice to the house’s stunning, and very private, grounds, landscaped pool area and delightful interiors. Nykola, one of the lovely owners, has even agreed to help me work some of her interior design magic on our own house in Harpenden!As for the surrounding towns and villages, Ostuni is, of course magical, but it was actually Carovigno which sneaked our vote. With its frankly, for a town of this size, ridiculous number of wonderful bars and restaurants, incredibly well priced, and filled with as many locals as tourists, it really offers the kind of authentic, immersive Italian country experience, sadly no longer possible in Tuscany.And, before you ask, yes we are booked in for 2016. This time with our parents as well as the children.
