About this cottage rental

1500 square feet in this cute, private cottage in a fantastic neighborhood.

Cozy Master bedroom with King size bed. Upstairs loft over looks the open beam living room area and has lots of room for the kids to play. The Loft includes 2 Queen beds with plenty of separation. The bunk house has a built in queen bunk bed with pull-out double futon below. It's a great spot where the kids or another couple can get away for some added privacy, watch a show on the new LED TV.

The living room has all new furniture including a pull out queen sofa bed, 40' LED television.

The brand new kitchen has expansive views of the backyard, is very clean, functional and includes stainless steel appliances, dishwasher and stone counter tops.

The property is on over half an acre and feels like you are by yourselves in the trees but yet it's right in Whitefish. It has a large deck with a huge fenced backyard that boasts views of Whitefish Mountain Resort. You are only a 5 minute walk to the golf course, 20 minute walk to scenic downtown that has fantastic restaurants, night life and shopping. You can drive to the ski hill in 15 minutes. Two boat launches are only 3 or 10 minutes away. 40+ miles of hiking and mountain biking trails are only half a mile up the road.

We were in Whitefish to check out the regional mountain bike scene and this cottage served as a great home base. Everything was as described in the listing and the owner’s recommendations were spot on. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. The neighborhood is quiet and the visiting deer plentiful, yet the cottage is surprisingly close to town. It is also only three miles to the Spencer Mountain trail network—a network of almost bike-park quality trails maintained by local associations on public land. Inspiring! (We also enjoyed the increasingly popular Legacy Bike Park—about a forty minute drive south of the cottage in Lakeside.) We can’t wait to go back!

This property is great. Very clean, close to downtown Whitefish, about 40 minutes from Glacier. Most rentals have uncomfortable beds, but not this place; they're very comfy! Kitchen so well stocked. Saw tons of deer in the yard. Owners are very communicative. I highly recommend!

My family of three stayed at this property and it was more than enough room. Big kitchen loaded with plenty of the necessities. Heating worked perfectly. Most importantly it was close to the airport and to Whitefish town center. Communication with Merritt was great. Very responsive and timely. Overall had a great stay.

We enjoyed staying here. It is in a great quiet location, nicely set up for a family with all the sleeping spots-main bedroom, loft, and detached cabin. Owner was great and responsive.

The home was in a nice neighborhood, with views of the woods across the street and the mountains in back. The arrangement was different as the staircase ascended to the loft area and it was in front of the master suite downstairs. I had to remember to duck when leaving the room. The kitchen was nice and the deck was large with a good gas grill and a four person table. We did not use the additional room, but it would give large families a chance to fit everyone in. It was close to downtown, the lake and mountain trails. The drive to Glacier was about thirty minutes. Overall, it was a nice place in a good location.

Beautiful home in a quiet location on the outskirts of town. Plenty of beds for our group of 6 adults and 3 children. Our host was very helpful and available if needed. The only things we lacked were enough wash cloths and body soap. Other than those two things we were well pleased. I would go back and stay again.

This is the perfect property for a stay in Whitefish. Just a minute or two from the beautiful Whitefish tourist district as well as Spencer Mountain it is perfect location for shopping or biking. We had two young boys (4&7) with us. Enjoyed the location and amenities. The space worked well for our family! The kids enjoyed the toys and adults appreciated the wash machine and grill. Location is great! Saw many deer and a turkey in the yard, kids played with the neighbor kids. Close to hiking and views of the mountains from the deck!

Even though the house was in town, you felt like you were in a cabin deep in the woods, we even had a deer and her two fawns visit every night for dinner. We had a fabulous stay at Merritt’s cottage. The house was as described and super comfortable. The beds were great and the linens nice quality. The kitchen is well stocked and convenient to use. We spent most of our time in Glacier National Park so had so drive a bit. We liked our little home away from home much better than lodgings we saw in and around GNP. There are some nice restaurants and coffee houses right in Whitefish and Kalispell is just down the road a bit. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat. Merritt is a gracious and helpful host!
