Grim Garden Guesthouse

I was arriving by car and was a bit worried about finding street parking nearby, as there is no designated parking lot, but the host was very helpful and friendly, and he made the parking issue stress-free. His English is very good, and we were able to communicate by phone and text before I arrived. When I got there, he was waiting for me outside and guided me to a place where I could park. The room itself is fairly basic, but clean and comfortable and perfectly adequate given the price. The location is good — walking distance to Yi Sun Sin Park and the waterfront pocha area. The breakfast was nice as well.

I have no complaints. Everything was great. I would stay here again.

Warm home-like atmosphere and comfortable king's beds and cleanliness. Super delicious breakfast and caring owner, helpful in every situation. The possibility to drink coffee when you need it (even with milk) made our stay excellent. The best accommodation we have found in South Korea. Hope we will come back here one day. We strongly recommend this guesthouse.

The location was very good, close to a busy street with good small restaurants but down an alley which was charming and quiet. Our host was friendly and welcoming, answered our many questions and gave us good tips and directions. The room was clean and had a good shower and beds. The common area downstairs was bright and full of the host’s wife’s calligraphy art and we read and drank tea there in the evenings.

While the rooftop garden was under construction we were able to hang out in a cozy attic for resting and watching the weather so it was not a problem.

The guesthouse is ideally located to walk to the city center, Odongdo, and has various buses passing near by, including some going to the bus terminal. On the ground floor there's a common space with a kitchen corner usable by the guests, and hot and cold water. There's a very fragrant smell upon arrival :) The room is very simple but spacious and comfortable, as is the bed. There's a regular strong short noise coming from the heating system, but I didn't hear it at night. Recommended for a short stay in Yeosu!

It would be convenient to have a kettle in the room.
