About this apartment rental
São Bento, one of the best neighborhoods in Lisbon to live in! Located between Lapa, Santos, and Bairro Alto, this small neighborhood surrounding the Parliament building is not to be missed.
Rent an apartment with a spectacular, unobstructed view through the trees, over the rooftops of Lisbon, and across the Tagus River. This apartment will make you feel right at home and let you experience the spirit of Lisbon.
This apartment is located on Avenida Dom Carlos I, one of the most beautiful avenues in Lisbon. In a traditional two-story building, on the 4th floor accessible by a semi-elevator, a traditional building from the late 19th century.
The apartment can sleep 5–6 people. It’s 2 square meters, with one double bed and another with two single beds, a living room with a sofa bed and a table for 6, fully equipped with appliances, and a bathroom with a shower.
During your stay, guests have access to the apartment with complete privacy (no host or other guests invited to share or stay there).
Wi-Fi, a microwave, a stove, an oven, a refrigerator, a washing machine, and small kitchen appliances such as a Nespresso coffee maker, a kettle, and a toaster are available.
A crib can be provided upon request.
Normally, or as I mentioned, guests do not have access to the apartment at the time of check-in, so that any questions or concerns they may have can be addressed.
During your stay, you will have access to amenities.
There is parking available on the street, in areas clearly marked for this purpose, with designated parking spaces.
Or pay-and-park from Monday through Friday (9:00 a.m.–7:00 a.m.), except on holidays and weekends.
In the area, you’ll find excellent cafés (with great brunch), wonderful gelaterias, a few traditional Lisbon restaurants, nightlife.... museums and shops, beautiful gardens and playgrounds, as well as nearby universities. A short walk from supermarkets, markets, wine shops, and stores selling gourmet products and local delicacies in the area.
This apartment is the perfect base for exploring the city: Buses 727 and 706 stop right in front of the gate, just around the corner from number 28, or you can take the tram, which will take you right into the heart of Old Lisbon. The Cais Sodré, Chiado, and Rato metro stations are 15 minutes away. The Comboio do Santos station, part of the Cascais Line, is a 5-minute walk away. Chiado, Bairro Alto, Príncipe Real, Santa Catarina, and Cais do Sodré are all a 15-minute walk away.

This is a fundamentally excellent property. The location is convenient to both the winding city downtown nightlife area, and to the parks and neighborhoods surrounding parliament. Despite being in walking distance to all of this the height and the double-glazed, shutterable windows mean you'll have no trouble getting to sleep. The apartment itself is lovely and convenient - a great cozy (but not small even with 2 adults and 2 kids!) layout with a full kitchen meant we could cook more dishes in than eating out with no trouble. The views were lovely and even in the heat wave the 2 AC units kept us comfy. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was perfect. The walk up is a bit of a hike and might be hard if you have mobility issues but if not just take your time and you'll be fine. We had large luggage but the steps werent at all tight, just numerous. Checking in and out couldn't have been easier or more pleasant, the place was spotless and well stocked and the hosts were more than helpful. When work next brings us back to Lisbon we will absolutely stay here again.

This is a lovely old apartment, clean, very bright with several large windows with views out onto a nice well treed commercial street. It is very close to many of the main tourist attractions and neighborhoods. And close to transportation to places that are farther away. Margarita is a very responsive and helpful host. The kitchen was nice and had a good assortment of cooking utensils, dishes, spices, tea, etc.

Enjoyed two weeks at Margarida’s nice apartment, which is in a great location for exploring Lisbon and beyond. The 28 tram is around the corner, buses stop at the front door and Santos train station is a 10 min walk. Would stay again!

Property is on the top (4th) floor and there is no lift. Building itself is pretty old and not in good condition, there is a bad smell in the common areas. Apartment is partially renovated, there is no housekeeping. There is a washing machine but no dryer function.
