About this apartment rental
Villa Oliva is a spacious two bedroomed self-catering mountainside apartment situated in Ljuta, just 5 minutes' drive from Gruda, in the Konavle Region of the southern most part of Croatia. A 15 minute drive from Dubrovnik Airport, it is recommended that you hire a car for the duration of your stay to enjoy all the surrounding area. However, we have had guests who have used taxis and buses during their stay and found it easy to get around and visit places such as Cavtat and Dubrovnik. Nestled in the mountainside, the villa features its own olive grove from which we produce our own extra virgin oil in a mix of three local varieties, and we encourage you to try some during your stay (complimentary!).
Villa Oliva is a comfortable 2 bedroom apartment. The upstairs floors of the villa are not occupied, allowing guests in the apartment to exclusively enjoy the peace and quiet of the property and outside area. The apartment benefits from the use of the outside area with the large private swimming pool with beautiful panoramic views right across the vineyards and pine forests of the valley, and stunning sunsets before dusk. A covered terraced area and a separate covered BBQ area (with large traditional BBQ) plus table and chairs and outside kitchen facilities are for the exclusive use of guests in the apartment. Complimentary olive and oakwood can be supplied on request for the BBQ.
The apartment has one double bedroom with plenty of wardrobe space, a twin bed room with wardrobe and a good sized bathroom with shower, bath and washing machine. The living/dining area has a double sofa bed, dining chairs and table with a TV, DVD player and free Wi-Fi. A small kitchen with a hob and oven, large fridge freezer and plenty of cupboard space.
Most of our guests enjoy dining al fresco during the hot summer months in the outside covered areas, and can enjoy watching the sun go down on a beautiful summer's evening. The barbecue area features bluetooth speakers for poolside music.
The pool has sunbeds, parasols and the pool area also has an outside toilet and a good shower by the pool. There is also an outdoor table tennis table.
The apartment benefits from a heating and air conditioning system throughout the property with shutters on all windows.
All beds will be made up for your arrival and bath and beach towels are supplied. The pool will be cleaned weekly but guests are asked to use the outside shower before taking a dip in the pool!
The Owners speak fluent English and Croatian.

Our 2nd time at Villa Oliva, after a few years, and it was even better than our first time. A magical setting, large pool with patio areas all around, large gardens, private setting, incredible views across the valley to Gruda and beyond, with mountains either side. Very convenient by car for the beautiful port town of Cavtat with its many restaurants (and for Dubrovnik by car or water taxi) and only 20mins from the airport. Andro is very helpful and makes sure everything is ok and regularly cleans and treats the pool. We had such a lovely time we booked again for next year before we’d even left. Thanks to Stane and Andro for a fantastic holiday. We can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful vila, amazing grounds and views, pictures do not do it justice! Fantastic pool. Amazing outside spaces for eating. Villa has everything you need. And Andro (owners brother who lives near by) was always helpful!

We really enjoyed our stay in the house which is very well equipped, the pool is surrounded by trees and is very pleasant, the host was very kind and gave us lots of advice on places to visit in the area.

This villa has been fantastic for our family of 4. Andro the host was very attentive and friendly and even brought us grapes and wine. The inside of the villa has 2 decent bedrooms and a decent bathroom and the aircon throughout is very good. The living/kitchen area is basic and small but the sofa is comfy and there is a big tv with Netflix.
But the main thing is the outside space and pool. Wow wow wow! Best outside space we’ve ever had. The views are stunning and the outside BBQ area is wonderful. It even has its own WiFi and speakers to play music. We would definitely return here and can highly recommend.
