The house is situated in Trecastagni inside of the Etna Park in a strategic place, in the province of Catania, which allows you to easily reach both the sea and the mountains, a few kilometers from the highway connecting the most important cities of Sicily.
At about 7 km away is the baroque town of Acireale, famous for its thermal baths, for the most beautiful Carnival in Sicily 's work Puppet and its delicious ices and ice cream. There are many places where you can enjoy full sea acese: S. Maria la Scala, S Tecla, Stazzo, Pozzillo, Capomulini Acitrezza and for those who want to enjoy the true basalt cliffs on the beautiful and teeming with fish described by Verga.
For those who love the mountains, is a 20-minute drive to reach the Silvestri craters, ancient lava flows, the woods, the trails of the National Park and, in winter, the ski resorts. It is always exciting to explore the 'Etna because it offers a great variety of landscapes and lends itself to various types of excursions.

We so enjoyed our stay at Casa Clo! Elio + Katarina are the most gracious hosts. Offering recommendations daily and even driving us around the local town to help get our bearings. We even visited, Acireale, where Elio was born on his rec and loved it!
The house is up a steep drive way but was great for our family of 4. great location for day trip to Mt. Etna, Taormina, and other coastal and mountain towns. My boys loved looking for all the turtles they have amongst the gardens too. And there's a great view for sunrise...if you are up that early!
Dont miss the wineries either. Gamibinos was great! So grateful for our time near Mt. Etna and hope to be back one day soon.

Casa Clò was a lovely place to stay for our trip to Sicily—it was spacious, well-equipped with everything we needed (glasses, plates, kitchen tools, AC, not 1 but 2 outdoor areas), and exactly as described. Elio and his wife were also very kind and welcoming hosts and gave us great recommendations for everything to do, see, and eat in the area! I can't recommend their place enough

My family got to stay in this villa for our week long Sicilian vacation and we were very sad to leave. The accommodations are beautiful and extremely comfortable. The villa is in an ideal location for exploring Sicily and the views from the luscious, blooming gardens are breath taking. I will definitely be staying here in the future. Do yourself a favor and book this villa!
