About this cottage rental

Here at La Metairie we take pride in the quality if our holiday homes, prefect for a romantic getaway or a family holiday. In a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, each cottage offers well quipped kitchens, tastefully furnished oak beamed living areas with wood burning stoves, T.V. and DVD players, comfortable bedrooms some en-suite. All cottages have their own patios or garden area with garden furniture and BBQ. La Metairie is prefect for young families having large garden areas and secure designated play areas situated away from driveways and carparking for their entertainment modern swings and slides, a tree house, a 'school' house with blackboard and play kitchen. Play hut with pool table, table football and table tennis. And most importantly our securely fenced key accessed heated swimming pool has a well equipped sun terrace to relax with a book or sunbath.

Pluvigner our local town, is just a short drive away with traditional shops, restaurants, banks and supermarkets. A delightful short drive through quiet countryside takes you to superb white sandy beaches of Carnac, or to Vannes a medieval walled city and the enchanting market town of Auray with itís port side cafes. For the energetic there is nearby an 'adventure forest'; horse riding, golf, cycling, and forest walks. If you want to take in the local nightlife babysitting is available - tariffs available on request. However you dream of spending your day, be at an energetic sport or leisurely pastime, choose La Metairie and Cottages, you can be sure of a warm welcome.

Nous avons passé une semaine exceptionnelle ! Ce gîte est parfait pour des vacances en famille : c'est très calme, le parc mis à disposition est magnifique et très bien équipé ! La piscine est top ! A quelques kilomètres de superbes plages de sable. Nous reviendrons certainement !

Our third visit in 12 years to this gite was in June this year, we found it even more beautiful and tranquil than before. The owners, Joanne and Adrian are extremely friendly and helpful offering recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. Excellent heated pool and large well maintained garden with play area. New large, well equipped kitchen. Lounge has Sky TV and DVD player. Only 30 minutes from the coast including the beautiful Gulf of Morbihan. We enjoyed wonderful fish meals in Carnac and Quiberon but we especially recommend La Table de Jeanne opposite the Fish Market in Vanne. Au Coin de Feu is a 2 minute drive from the gite and we enjoyed an amazing bbq steak in a pretty outdoor setting. We have booked again for next year.

Just what we wanted

The property was perfect for our needs with the added bonus of an outdoor pool and toys for our 3 year old to use. The location of the property was great, in a lovely quiet rural setting but only a 5 minute drive into town for all our shopping needs. We would certainly recommend these cottages to friends and family and we are hoping to head back next year, if there's availability when we come to booking.

Went here with our 2yr old and 4yr old. Clean cottage with fantastic outdoor playground and the pool was lovely. Day trips to auray and vannes were easy and beautiful.

Family get together on entire site

We were 17 strong so took the entire site (all four gites) and had a great time enjoying all the safe space and facilities. Owners supportive without being on top of you, nothing too much trouble for them.. All better than we expected and the trips out were very interesting and entertaining for all (73 down to 6) Thought about going out to dinner but so enjoyed the BBQ that we eat in most nights! Would highly recommend the site and facilites.

Gite had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. Large grounds and fabulous pool. All well looked after. 5mins in the car to a supermarket, 30 mins to Carnac. Definitely recommend a stay.

This was our first family holiday in Brittany and we had a great time. Orchard cottage was perfect for our family of four (children aged 6 and 4) with enough room for us all and everything we needed for our stay. The children loved all the space and toys in the garden and enjoyed playing with the children staying in the other cottages. La Metairie is well located with Pluvinger only a few minutes drive away where there are shops and restaurants. There were plenty of places to visit within a short drive and lovely beaches and seaside towns only half an hour away. This will be on our list of places to come back to.

Super holiday. Orchard Cottage was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and comfy. Great memory foam mattress on the double bed. The children loved the garden and swimming pool. Played with the other children every evening. A lovely quiet and peaceful location, yet only 30 minute drive to the beautiful beaches and water sports at Carnac. Free local tennis courts at Camors and Pluvigner.

Fantastic place to stay with a young family

This is a perfect place to stay with a young family. The Cottage we stayed in was very well appointed and had everything we needed. The grounds are large, well maintained and have lots of things to entertain kids.. Swings, slides, table tennis, trampolines, pool table, the list goes on.. Situated in a quiet rural location with supermarkets only 5 minutes drive away and plenty of sites to go and see only 30 minutes drive away. We would recommend these cottages and would consider returning for another break next year

Lovely family-oriented getaway

Orchard Cottage in particular, and La Metairie in general, were great for a relaxing getaway with young kids. Ours - three and five - really enjoyed the grounds, with loads of playthings for kids, and the heated pool. Adrian & Jo were incredibly welcoming and helpful, the property was very well looked after, overall, a great fortnight.

Perfect for young families

The cottages and gardens were so pretty with open views of the countryside. Our 1 year old loved crawling around on the lawns, playing on the play equipment and having a good explore. The heated swimming pool was a real bonus, much bigger and deeper than I'd expected, so we could all enjoy it. Plenty of local villages nearby to get shopping and an easy drive down to the beaches around Carnac and plenty of other visitor spots. The accomodation was very homely and just right for the 3 of us. Nice space to sit outside and enjoy a bbq. Lots of equipment for the baby - highchair, cot, stairgate, baby bath supports and books and toys - which all made life so much easier.

We stayed in the orchard cottage with our two girls aged 16 and 6. The cottage was spotless and facilities within the cottage are everything you could ask for. The huge gardens were very well maintained and the slides, swings, trampolines and play house were all a massive hit for us especially with our 6 year old. The heated swimming pool was also an added bonus as even on the cloudier days you could still enjoy a play and swim with the kids. The shops are only a short 5 minute drive away And there are some lovely towns which also have market days surrounding the area. The gites are situated off a little country road and we felt very safe, secure and were happy to let our youngest go out and play knowing she would be safe and could see her from the window. Joanne, Adrian and the kids were all very welcoming and were able to answer any questions we had. Would we recommend to friends and family? Absolutely! We are currently looking into returning this year! :)

Our seventh stay at La Metairie - and we're as happy as ever to be there. Orchard Cottage is comfortable, clean, well equipped and perfect for a family holiday. There's a lovely new bed in the master bedroom, and enough space for all the family. Great kitchen, fab lounge and to have a bath and a shower is a must with small children. Little touches make this place ideal for your holiday - from providing a bath mat to books, games and jigsaws to keep the little ones occupied on the rare rainy days. Outside is a huge playground for the kids, and a lovely spot for a barbecue at the end of the day. The peace and quiet you get from the surrounding fields is hard to beat. But it's nice that you're only a few minutes' drive to the big town also. We will be back next year!

Our stay at orchard cottage

We have had a lovely relaxing week at orchard cottage. We were warmly welcomed by Joanne and Adrian who made everything easy after our journey with two small boys. The cottage was clean and well maintained and the play area of swings, slides, play houses and trampolines etc were all put to good use- especially as they had a new best friend Declan (Joanne's youngest) to play with. We were too early in the year for the pool to be open. The cottage was an excellent base to explore the many beaches in the area and the pretty Brittany countryside. I would definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family especially if they have a young family as it is a safe and extremely relaxing holiday
