About this apartment rental
This luxurious apartment with great working airconditiong in its typical Venetian floors is situated in Cannaregio, which is probably the most authentic area in Venice. It is situated on the first floor ( piano nobile) of the beautifully restored 15th century Palazzo Vendramin-Costa alongside Fondamenta Vendramin.
Much thought has been given to the interior dynamics with a lot of smart solutions respecting the original settings. The apartment is designed to be a second home for the owners who only rent it out temporarily.The renown Roman artist Andrea Aquilanti ( Biënnale - Italian Pavilion 2015 ) has created the central art-piece in the living room, an installation in which he brought the outer and inner elements of the Palazzo together in a visual feast where time seems to come to a stop.
The apartment has been completely renovated in 2017-2018. It has an Arclinea kitchen with all amenities including Alessi cookware, Miele induction stove and oven and chef-knives.
It is air-conditioned and the wi-fi is connected to the Vodaphone fibre-network.
The very spacious bathroom has the classical Italian setting including a bidet, a 'carwash' shower and a Bosch-AEG washer-dryer of the latest generation.
All furniture is provided either by Venetian based Boselli-arredamenti including Spectrum or Lago.
A number of principles have been clearly recognisable: functionalist design and items of furniture with no embellishment, whose beauty was determined by the well thought-out and carefully balanced form and proportion of it.
Check-in time is between 15h00 to 20h00 (after there is an extra charge)

A really excellent apartment in a great location. Communication with the owner and the local housekeeper was clear and helpful. We were greeted by the housekeeper and shown around the apartment which is spotless and well furnished, a modern apartment in a recently renovated Palazzo. We were fortunate to have chosen this apartment, it enhanced our stay in Venice.

Not only was the apartment outstanding but the communication from the owner, Peter, was marvelous. The location is very good. The contact person, Paola, was very helpful. When we return to Venice again, we'll hope this this wonderful apartment is available.

The apartment is huge and very nicely decorated with lots of design elements; it is also equipped with everything you could ever wish for. We were visiting Venice as a family trip, so the host was kind enough to let the 4 of us stay here by charging a small fee for the extra guests.You can tell that the whole building was just recently renovated. It has a lift as well, which I assume is not very common in Venice. The apartment is tucked away from all the noise but one bridge away from everything tourist-related. But if you get bored of that there are also a lot of nice restaurants/bars that are full of locals pretty close to the apartment.Even though the host was extremely accommodating and the apartment was gorgeous, we did have a couple of hiccups. One was the check-in, the hosts assistant told me to meet her at the wrong address, which meant having to drag my extra heavy luggage over a bridge and then back again over that same bridge in the Venetian heat. The other problem we had was that the bathroom was not properly cleaned by the time we got to the apartment even though we arrived later than what was planned. I was also told by the hosts assistant that the plates inside the washing machine were clean even though they were not, which proved to be an inconvenience when we wanted to use them.I assume that these inconveniences were out of bad luck since everything else was perfectly fine and the apartment seemed to be in perfect condition.
